El Hamed is not confirmed yet. Only feeling unwell at this point and self-isolating as a precaution.

COVID test done. Result later today.

I think that we might just turn up for this one. We've been slow getting going but we've got to hit form sometime and there's no time better.

Mr O'Rourke also took a pop at the SFA for confirming referee John Beaton would take charge of this weekend's derby at Parkhead. Beaton was at the centre of controversy recently after his last game in charge between the two sides where Alfredo Morelos dodged three potential red card offences.

Beaton’s private details were also leaked online and he called cops after receiving threats.

But Mr O'Rourke said: "I’ll make one last point Mr Maxwell, and it’s got nothing to do with the pandemic, although it seems like a virus. In this historic season when Glasgow Celtic are attempting to write even more history by winning Ten in a Row, it seems that every attempt will be taken by the SFA/SPFL to stop us doing that.

The appointment of John Beaton as referee is a complete slap in the face to Celtic and our supporters. Beaton does not even try to hide where his allegiances lie. The last time he officiated at a Glasgow Derby, he had a shameful display of bias against one team, and after that match, he received the full backing of the SFA."

This was my thinking too. If people are self isolating it says it's usually for a period of 10 days.

If he tests negative does this mean he is OK to return to training/play?

It got me thinking, are there official declarations that you are isolating for Covid symptoms as opposed to having a headache etc?? Who enforces the 10 days etc? Muddy waters I think and leaves the isolation thing open to dishonesty etc.

I think if you have actual symptoms the test is what tells you if you have it or not.

If it comes back negative they might do a second one to double check I guess.

Anyone else I know who had symptoms and tested if it was negative they are clear to get on with things.

Even if negative he might still need to recover from whatever is making him unwell is the other consideration.

    3-4-1-2

    Barkas

    Elhamed/Jullien
    Duffy
    Ajer

    Frimpong
    McGregor
    Brown
    Laxalt

Ntcham (Big chance for him to step up if he starts and that needs to be made clear)

    Griffiths
    Ajeti/Klimala (whoever is fitter)

I think Griffiths and Klimala would cause them problems with their pace and work-rate. Edouard is without a doubt our star man but he’s not a work horse at the best of times and if he’s ill/not match fit then I’d stick him on the bench.

If Elhamed is fully fit then I’d start him. Jullien is class when he needs to be but I think we would be too slow at the back with him and Duffy in there. Elhamed and Ajer have decent pace which allows them to cover Duffy.

I thought supporters were not allowed into the games yet. How is Beaton being allowed in:84:

A second Ireland player has tested positive so expect another bunch of Ireland players to be out as close contacts. No word on who yet but obviously if we lose Duffy now on top of everything else this is turning into an utter farce this international crap.
