Oh yesterday forgot to say I heard 2 Tawny Owls,a male and a female calling to each other mid morning. They do this sometimes, call in the daytime.
Also yesterday 2 Stonechats were noted on my local patch and one of the local Chough. Today on my local patch a Male Sparrowhawk flew right past me and Ruby Roo.
Also on my patch Jays are busy seeking out Acorns.

Yes saw that before Jeannie , calves in one side of the barn cows on the other , another thing ive seen is big blocks of salt outside the pens and cows licking it , gradually over weeks the salt disappears .

I think that they need salt and seemingly for milk production.

My daughter Caroline has had an interest in Astrology for years. In lockdown she decided to do an online course in it. For the last few nights she's been out with her scope looking at the night sky. I've joined her a few times. But last night , we were out and heard the most awful sounds coming from across the road from us. Couldn't see them but 2 Foxes fighting. The noise was unbelievable. Caroline turned to me and said;" No wonder they believed in witches 100's of years ago." Spooky as *.
And we saw Mars and Jupiter, and 3 moons of Jupiter. What a great night.

Forgot to mention other day I was on my local headland with Ruby Roo closing in the get a really good photo(Well good for me:84:).
Yes I was closing in on 9 Chough feeding on the ground when some total goon walked swiftly up and past scaring them out of sight:31: Totally unaware of any kind of Wildlife let alone lovely Chough. The Goon did not even notice a Raven fly past him just 2 metres away:56:

I had a walk through Hazelwood today, it was pretty quiet with just a few Blackbirds and Thrushes scavenging in the leaf fall, the trees have still a while to go before they turn their autumnal colours, I spotted one red squirrel and saw a lone jay high in a tree, i might head back there tomorrow early doors ( weather depending).
