The most obvious thing he's done wrong is oversee some awful recruitment.

Messi showing loyalty to the club that has allowed him to be the one of the greatest ever players.
He obviously doesn’t see himself as part of the failings, so wants to jump ship. & I have no doubt it would be for more money.

    Toys out the pram stuff.

    Offft.

Sums up his feelings overall as well and proves that more needs done at that club still.

They had a petition signed off for a change from barto sooner than March.
Think it's needed asap for a lot of reasons, if not for trying to keep Messi for a few more years.

Guys * Barcelona something awful and needs hounded out.

I dare say I can see some similarities at our own club, but that's a whole different chat for a different thread.

    Aye agree.

Messi has previous for using his status to make changes happen, look at his Argentina retirement saga.

I'm hoping there is an element of that to all of this, I believe he would be gone by now if he could have, but hoping with the right changes and quickly, it may just keep him there for a few more years.

I want to see him he a one man club (Newell as a boy aside). Very much never want to see him grace English football, the media circus and hype will go in to over drive if they can claim to have poached the greatest player ever to play in that league.

Zlatan made good comments years ago about never needing to prove anything by going there, but he eventually did. Annoyed me that did, fingers crossed not the same for Messi.

actually laughing out loud at that :giggle1:

If Messi came to England, even at aged 34, it’s entirely likely that he would be the best player to have ever played on these shores.

You can argue all day about where he ranks in the GOAT conversation (I think very few would say he’s not top 2), but even at 34 he would tear it up wherever he went. He’s simply too good not too.

Joke, that's the english for you though and is why I hope he does not go to the EPL. I firmly believe he is still the greatest player of all time and currently in the world. He would rip that league apart, aside from literally kicking him off the park, teams will not cope with him.

These idiots are just that though, idiots. "who is going to be his legs, who is doing the running that he cant?" * off, the lad covers the entire attacking half of the pitch and regularly comes deep to collect the ball and is seen running from the centre circle forward, the space he creates.....in fact the * am I explaining this, we all know his talent and the English can * off.

Keys & Gray are relics and epitomize the myopic English view of the game

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has QUIT his role, along with entire club board, according to stunning reports in Spain.

The Nou Camp chief has called a press conference for Tuesday evening, where he is expected to confirm the news.
Bartomeu has been in charge of the Spanish giants since 2014, but has faced increasing pressure to leave following public criticism from Barca icon Lionel Messi and a host of other players.

The reports in Spain claim the 57-year-old has decided to resign from his post before a vote could be cast to kick him out.
