Sinclair was excellent for us particularly in the first 18months of his Celtic career and continued to chip in with goals. However his form in his third season was pretty poor on the whole, he couldn’t go past a man anymore and was very weak on the ball. His confidence seemed shot.

The performance he put in against Cluj away where he was one of the senior players last year was pathetic. Granted he had been frozen out but I think time had come for him to go.

The bigger issue was MJ kept getting injured who was our promising prospect and Ely is a completely different player who had injuries just when he started to really click.

He is yet to get his best form back for us and doesn’t really fit in the 3-5-2 although he could play in a 3-4-1-2 in the one behind the front two.

That's why I said as an option..

Christie can't play every game or 90mins every game.

Would actually have Christie as 8 rather than a 10 for the most part.

aye....me too, not excited by him at all, he was superb against that Icelandic team last month but other than that hasn’t done much at all and much the same last season, I hope he wins me over but so far it’s been really tough warming to him.

Play him in the 10 with Christie deeper, simple.

Felt him and Ajeti linked better and he gave us better work rate up top. Feel he is very similar in style to Firmino. Felt he deserves a start in the next game tbh

Yep him in the 10 would work well..

    He calls himself a 10..

He's a big game and big moment player..

Hasn't hit the heights yet but in Europe he is gonna be a key player..

    Class the boy..

Has to * start, he is easily one of our most talented players and has a huge impact when used effectively.

Leaving him on the bench behind the likes of Christie is criminal.

I said it before but he could have gone anywhere, yet he came back here. He wants to be here and he's class.

Can’t argue with that , far too good to be on the bench , why did we even take him back if he’s hardly going to play

If him and Ajeti spark up their old partnership again this season they're going to be deadly. We need to make sure we get them both up to speed and playing together.

Pleased for him that he scored. Wouldn't mind seeing him being given a chance in the 10 role.

NL: "Moi's been out of the team for a few games and hasn’t been at his best but he’s trained brilliantly and he sets a great example for the rest of the squad. He comes up with a really important goal and I couldn’t be happier for him."

Guy is class. Shame he can't be shoehorned into the team like other players of lesser ability.

Really Neil, out of that sparkling midfield, who's been at their best?

Only him and Rogic are no 10s for us.

I'd try him. On the left still, but wouldn't say no to Christie being there on the left, and have him. In the 10.

Christie has outperformed him this season.

Start him as a number 10 and drop Christie back to play alongside McGregor.

Definitely happy we at least renewed his loan here. Must start our Europan games.

Christie has been 80% abysmal, 20% quality.

He's also been given every chance in a number of set ups, Ely has only been given a chance in the most ineffective set up ie 4-2-3-1.

Christie could also play further back besides McGregor.

We have to make room for Ely.

A midfield of Christie, McGregor and Elyounoussi would annaliate teams, with Turnbull and Soro adding something to the mix too.
