Apologies, I hadn’t actually watched the video in your post as I’d watched a clip on Bleacher Report earlier then found the extended version.

I wouldn’t say he sounds bitter, I actually think he’s just going down the MJ route of taking offence to it in order to spur himself on. The comment he made at the end (something along the lines of “well that will be me headline news again tomorrow”), I got the impression he’s a bit fed up with the media and the fact there’s no real escape in the bubble.

I’m not denying that Giannis deserved MVP - he definitely did. Apologies if it came across that way with my comment “I’m inclined to agree with him...”. I just meant that I agree that the way the voting is done seems wrong. Anyone who voted Drummond should automatically lose their vote the following year

 

The Heat have an incredible habit of managing to stay close in games even when they’re not playing well. It feels like they should be down about 15-20 at the moment, but they’re only down 6.

That’s heartbreaking for Denver. Feel like that’ll suck the life out them despite them coming back so much, there’s only so much you can give.

 

Certainly wouldn’t have been saying that in the first quarter or when AD was letting Jokic score 11 straight Denver points down the stretch... It’s a team game and LeBron is the epitome of that.

Even the possession where Caruso misses the open three with seconds remaining - the ball is put in LeBron’s hands to make the right play and AD didn’t touch the ball on the possession. If Caruso hits that, is it Caruso’s team? One thing is for sure, the Lakers are spoilt for choice.

 

They both need each other. If you had to choose a captain as such and a leader then it’s LeBron. But he might not be in the Playoffs without AD.

He might not of been fully fit last season, but he had who he has now in Kuzma, KCP, Caruso, McGee, Rondo (all but McGee putting in 20+ mins in the playoffs) along with some great vets such as Lance Stevenson and Tyson Chandler. Add to that an All Star in Brandon Ingram and two very good young players in Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart... that team isn’t a 10th place team.

The Pelicans roster was far worse. AD has came in and brought everything together. They aren’t where they are now without him or LeBron.
