* knows, Game sent me an email during the night and stock was gone by the time I got up , me and the missus at it all day and nothing

 

I was the exact same me and the missus trying. Actually landed in an online queue at currys. Wasted 40mins for * all.

 

I saw the launch titles and was a bit underwhelmed. Am I the only one?

 

Managed to get one last night from game, still waiting for a confirmation email.
Cant get them on chat or phone as their numbers are not right uts a shambles.

So if you get one in the second wave of pre orders do you still get it on launch day?

 

Would imagine so. I reckon there'll be a few pre order days tbh the demand is phenomenal.

Seen the new Demon Souls will be selling for £70, and it seems that might be a new standard for triple a games on the consoles, bit * that.

 

Woke up for the toilet an hour ago , Argos gets u through payment then crashes when finalising ur order

I see that too and I am actually amazed it has taken this long for the cost to go up. Games haven't raised with inflation. I would happily pay that as the standard if it meant it stopped all the microtransactions and loot box nonsense which is a standard these days. The sad thing is they will no doubt charge the higher price AND add the loot box/microtransactions stuff on top.

 

I'll be surprised if many dont do a warzone/fortnight type thing. Free to play but make millions upon millions on battle passes, cosmetics etc. I'm happy with that model since I dont buy anything so get it for free plus that was such a success, I'm sure others will follow.

 

Aye it does make sense in cases like that and for a user like yourself it's perfect. I don't actually have an issue with free to plays. It's full price games that add in all sorts of microtransactions that. Stuff that in the old days would have been unlockables and all included in the package.

 

Managed to get one pre ordered through argos. Just kept flicking backwards and forwards and eventually the option for delivery came up. Only thing is it wasn't working when trying to pay by card, I had to use PayPal.

 

Games are much cheaper than they used to be. In the 90s it was easy to spend £50 on a game, after inflation they cost almost double the current price. Extra storylines is no problem as long as the game already has plenty of content is fine. Games that have micro transactions, as long you have the option to earn coins in the game is fine with me. Games like fifa I find it more fun to earn the extra stuff.
