He was fit from mid September until the end of the season, last season. Yet he only played 600 mins in the league, 994 overall. Started 10 of 37 games he was available for, as far as I can tell.

And he’s yet to see a minute of action so far this season.

I’d say it’s pretty clear that Lennon’s not his biggest fan. Which is a shame.

Not injured doesn't equal fit though, particularly in Rogic's case when his stamina has always meant he rarely goes a full 90 min game.

He had missed the whole of pre-season and was unfortunately behind the rest of the squad and was given time to build that up.

He was also competing against Christie whose form meant he was impossible to drop. 19 goals & 16 assists in 43 games for Christie suggests Lennon called it right.

Give him the captaincy if he stays.

Not saying Lennon called it right or wrong, just that it’s obvious he isn’t too keen on Rogic.

He’s the only natural number 10 in the squad, with real creativity and big moments in him. Would like to see him play a lot more than he has done the last 12 months.

CELTIC boss Neil Lennon has expressed his delight after it emerged that Tom Rogic would stay with the club.

The Hoops had agreed a £4million deal with a Qatari side for the midfielder who has been in Glasgow since 2013.

Rogic looked set to end his seven-year spell as a Celtic player but failed to agree personal terms with the unnamed club.

The move has since collapsed with Rogic - who is under contract until 2023 - likely to remain with the Bhoys.

And Lennon says the Australian could be involved in Wednesday night's clash with St Mirren.

Speaking to Sky Sports, said: "A fee was agreed but Tom and his representatives failed to agree personal terms with the Qatari club so as far as I'm aware that deal's not going to happen.

He's back, he's training today. He'll not be available for the squad at the weekend but he'll be available on Wednesday against St Mirren."

Lennon brought Rogic to Celtic during his first spell in charge and says he's glad the 27-year-old will be around for the 10 in a Row push.

He added: "Absolutely. I think he's a fantastic player. He's had his disruptions with injuries and that's the only thing that's kept him out the team.

"When he's played under myself, particularly in the second term, in the 90 minutes he's had on the pitch he has been absolutely excellent.

And looking at his performances and the team's performances when he's played, they've been very positive.

Always felt he should have started up top for the league cup final. He's similar in style to Eddie in terms of ability with the ball gliding past players with ease.

Think he plays better than Christie in 352 as well imo as he's better positioning and like to play in holes.

Be good to see him back. Always feel there's a time in a players career where they need to choose between club and country. Eg Rodgers to Gerrard and Brown. Not sure if Lennon is the right man to tell him to call time on Australia.

Aye, unless we have an injury crisis I’m not expecting to see him in the starting XI.

Big Tam can turn the game in a blink of an eye , his skills are second to none when he is in the mood .
If Lenny doesn’t like him even the cut his selling price and punt him as we will not get top dollar for someone who never gets any game time .

He’s well down the pecking order now, he’d rip it up at any other team in the league, just shows how good our squad is.

He needs game time to get his fitness and that wont happen any time soon.

Weird one, is Rogic. Talent-wise one of the best we've ever had yet isn't actually needed at all.

Lawwell will be raging at the 4 mill thrown away, like when we lost out on 9 million for * Boyata.

Hope Tom plays and scores once more but unless Christie's injured or get himself sent off again it's unlikely.

Thought he made a difference when he came on as well. Received the ball on the right, took it and committed a few of their players as he does. None of our players done that in the previous 75 minutes bar Frimpong.

It just shows that Griff and Rogic need to be back as first team contenders.

Love big Tam he's a classy player. Hopefully now he nails down a spot! Keeps the attacks moving, whereas Ntcham slows play down too much.

He is our best no10 by a long way

Having him and Griffiths back playing gives us some of the spark we're badly lacking just now.
