Here was me thinking it was genuine. Silly me.

Reminds me of a quote I heard: Insults are the last resort of an insecure person trying to appear confident.

I do feel sorry for you mate. No hard feelings from me.

FFS any more testosterone in this thread and even the women members will be growing a set. Petty arguments, insults and trolling galore leave us with no choice other than to lock the thread for a while whilst Staff deal with the numerous complaints and reports.

Bans and warnings are going to be given over the next day or so after the needless and childish personal attacks, trolling and back seat moderating that took place.

Any repeat of this and offenders can expect a no warning ban. Staff and members are sick to death of these kind of things happening. It ruins decent debate and discourages others from stating their opinions.

It has also been noted that personal attacks are being sent via PM's. That is also grounds for action to be taken. Cut it out and either comment sensibly or suffer the consequences.

Neil Lennon insists accusations that Celtic have abandoned their Champions League ambitions to focus on their historic Ten In A Row bid are absolute nonsense.

The Hoops have failed to make the group stage of European football’s blue-riband club competition for the third successive year following the midweek defeat to Ferencvaros in the second qualifying round.

But they have continued to dominate domestically with consecutive titles number seven, eight and nine secured during that time as part of a potential and unprecedented quadruple Treble.

However, Lennon is adamant that the silverware at home hasn’t come at the expense of competing with cream of the continent and a club settling for just being top dogs in Scotland.

Ahead of today’s visit of Motherwell where they will look to get back on track, Lennon said of that claim: “It’s ludicrous and a lot of hype.

“It’s nothing to do with the Ten In A Row scenario. Our objective was to try to make the group stages. We haven’t and there will obviously be negative fallout which we’ve seen many times before.

It hurts, don’t get me wrong. It’s not something I dismiss. It’s a hammer blow. I want the Champions League for the players and the club as much as anybody.

But we have to park that now and move on. We’ve still got the Europa League to think of and also the domestic challenges that lie ahead. What you do is reset, you don’t change a lot of things and look forward to the next game.

“It’s important we’ve got another game coming up. There will be a lot of hype and criticism, we’re well aware of that. But sometimes it’s out of sync and out of balance with what I’m seeing on the pitch.”

Gonna have a lot of heat on him for the Motherwell game.

If he doesn't try and change things up and again tries to put 4 central midfielders into the 11,this place will erupt.

Lennon needs to Al Pacino (any given Sunday) this * asap.

Nothing but a comprehensive duffing of this poor Motherwell side will do right now.

Many fans are still livid (rightfully so) and more than a few want to see him handed a p45.

    But now's not that time.

My confidence in Lennon has been severely dented since the season started, especially given how well we were playing before covid struck.

But he has the tools and the knowledge to fix it and get back to dominating sides with easily the best squad in the country.

    Fix it Neil.

He’s a stubborn old goat. Wouldn’t surprise me if he went unchanged and we won 4-0.

IMOBrown,Ntcham,McGregor and Christie(when all four start),they get in each other's way and hamper the flow of the team.
Interesting to see where Turnbull fits in.

I thought Christie was the only one getting in peoples way. Mad the amount of times he’d just run into Elyounoussi. Doesn’t help that he doesn’t know the position he was being asked to play.

John Kennedy seems to be highly rated, but there is no way he should be the next manager. He needs to go and cut his teeth somewhere first and come back when he has shown he can manage a team.

No one seems fit, just look at bayo, just into france and gets 2 goals but ya just know he would have sat on our bench.

Something is fundamentally wrong at the minute.

I simply stated about the teams fitness failings and that he did indeed get 2 goals on his debut.

Balloon, love that insult. Wp. :56:

The team doesn't have fitness failings. They're either injured or newly signed. The only preventable fitness issue we've had is Griffiths, and that's on him not the club.

Aye, Ajeti. Klimala isn't unfit, Lennon just didn't trust him.
