If the rumours are true and he does want out then good riddance. Get rid of these wannabe "ball playing" centre backs and get some proper no nonsense defenders in like bobo or mjallby

Rag dolled too often in games. Not physical enough given his size.

It's funny in the week people were saying he may be the new Van Dijk that he decided to try and play like him.

He is amongst the quickest in the team. He was brought to us as a defensive mid.

Aye when he was about 17. This boy would never make a midfield player ever. Because his slowness etc gets exposed at the back doesn’t mean he would be any better in midfield.

He’s not fast enough over 5 yards to play in the midfield. Once he gets his legs going he’s ok but no way is he mobile enough or quick enough to play in the midfield.

    And Brown is?
Ajer made noises 6 months ago, should have been sorted one way or another there and then-commit-new contract or an agreement to go in the summer, instead of festering on.

That’s a mute point whether he is faster than Brown or not. The boy is nowhere near able to play in there.

Watch how he continually can’t sort his feet out, there’s a wee hint as to how his lack of mobility would cause him and is no end of issues.

Ajer could have played midfield. Whether or not he'd do as well as he can do at CB is conjecture, but he would have been able to make a career out of being a midfielder no problem.

For me, he’s a box to box midfielder everyday of the week. Should never have tried to convert him to a centre half.

He’s not slow at all, * knows what you’ve been watching. He regularly has to recover when he’s let the man past him in the first place.

He’s got more attributes to be a midfielder than he has to be a defender.

How's his shooting again? Can't remember seeing him hit a shot. Typically I'd prefer a B2B to be able to shoot well.

Ajer is a CB a good one who needs to work on aspects of his game.

If we can get £15m for him we should be all over that..

Would rather he stayed until the end of the season though as we would need to find 2 x CBs..

If he wants out, like his 2 game exclusion for Bitton and later comments by Lennon suggest then we need to take the money and run.

His agent was on record from more than 6 months ago saying he would be looking to move this summer, it's negligence if we haven't prepared for that possibility.

We were already thin on the ground for CBs, so we should have been scouting them and we also knew that we weren't taking up Jozo's option of an extra year. There's no excuses not to have targets in mind, time to press the button and move for them before we crash out of Europe altogether.
