After my 100km challenge I’ve done almost nothing for two weeks. Did a 4km run (more of a jog really) last night and then a few sets of bodyweight exercises at the end. Squats, sit ups and press ups. 5 sets of 10. Can feel it in my thighs today. Amazing how quickly your fitness can drop off.

I've lost 20 pounds as well....either that or someone's stole it out my wallet.

The left arm on my assault bike is bust ( I have emailed Power Fitness as it is still under warranty)so I have had to think of some different cardio to do before work on a morning. So Thursday I decided to do the Insanity fit test for the first time in 18 months. Spent three days walking like John Wayne, my thighs were * killing me. I never really think about which muscles you use day to day. Walking upstairs is fine, however coming downstairs has taken ages and no doubt looked pretty comical.

So, I've shared a couple of body fat calculators in here and always wondered how close they were to the truth. Using them today gives me between 17 and 18 %

My calipers arrived this morning and I've done the Jackson and Pollock measurements and the result was 13%

According to the BBC website, gyms are opening again on 25th July, in England. Finally.

Think I'll wait and see how the gyms are operating first, have cancelled my membership for now. Got a few mates who are definitely going back so will wait and hear their feedback. I've been doing OK just with weights, chest expander and excercise bike in the gaff, along with walks etc. Went up Ben Vorlich today and felt fine both up and down, think the amount of walking I've done during lockdown has helped a lot.

Been to two separate gyms since Friday and it's been fine for me. Lots of sprays and tissue and wipes to clean equipment, good distancing from other people, plenty of hand sanitiser around. Saw people wearing masks too.

I'm really glad to get back to it tbh, though it's the first time I've done legs in a while and my thighs are hurting today.

Yeah calipers are a bit funky depending on how you carry your fat..

Sure I measured like 9% before which was off because I carry my fat round my lower abs and waist but I get crazy lean in my legs and arms.

Was more like 14% at least.

Look after your feet. They’ll suffer the most if you don’t.

    Will do @Minty .

Walked 5k Thursday and my wife got a massive blister.

I could walk for miles all day but when it comes to jogging/running my chest and lungs cant take it........especially since my last lung op.

But going to push through as much as possible.
So important and it's great being involved with the Facebook's group too.
Never really been involved with any groups....not for a long time and it feels great to talk to people who know where you've been. You know?

    Cheers man.

Tbh seeing the others stories is more inspiring to me than anything. I had it easy in comparison. And seeing people who have lost their children doing this for them?
    Breaks my heart man.
I really just want to stop sitting about talking and really want to get more involved.
Who knows.....might work up to a 5k or 10k eventually

I only have the fundraiser on my Facebook page but can give that over ( as long as admin are cool with that).

Walked up Conic Hill with the missus today then a wee bit round about it.

Not a particular long walk but very steep in places was good fun, first time I’ve done a hill of that size. Felt pretty fit and the work I’ve been doing on the spin bike has really helped with incline walking.

Had to call it today for my 100 miles.

Struggled through 60 the last few weeks and got my ankle seen to....tendonitis

So need to rest up but hopefully I can reach that 100 as I was aiming for 120-150

Started back yesterday and done 30km already

Didnt entirely stop last week. Still managed on average about 7-10km a day. So between my wife and I (she helped a little bit)....that's over 100miles!!!!!

The lbs haven't shifted as much as I thought and that's me being on a decent diet and drinking much less.

But going to keep this up walking to work and that...been good to get these * lungs challenged
