City just seems the obvious choice with pep being there along with aguero who is his mate, plus the the style of football would suit too. Definitely dont want it to happen though, an empty husk of a club like that doesnt deserve a player like him.

Before I get in to this, I want to restate o think Messi is the best player ever and I do love Barcelona as a club as well (not over Celtic of course).

But, as much as we all would want him to stay at Barcelona, I actually think it could help Barcelona long term. They've become a bit too reliant on him and almost everything goes through him. It could be a good thing to allow a change in style and let other players step up and not be "forced" to play everything through him.

    OK pal.

Anyway, back to the big boys talking about football. Looks as if the Man City rumour is now gathering serious pace.

As far as I can tell, the guy who founded Suning is a self made billionaire, and not part of a Chinese royal family or brother of the president. And so doesn’t exactly have a lot of power when it comes to the running of the country.

I’m sure Suning isn’t all rosey and has plenty of black marks against it if you dig deep enough. But on the face of it, it isn’t really culpable for the state of Chinese human rights.

Yet another ridiculous argument here, Paul. The main thing is there’s nothing nonsensical about people not wanting Messi to play for a club backed by a state with a shocking human rights record. If you don’t have a problem with it then fair enough, but others do.

‘As far as you can tell’

    What are you on about?

Is the founder a self made billionaire? Yes.

Is his company spotless? Probably not, as I said.

Is Suning Holding Group remotely comparable to one of the most powerful men of a sovereign state with a shocking human rights record? No.

So, your big reveal is an article questioning if they are laundering money. Not them being found guilty of it. Yeah you’re right, Inter’s owners are every bit as bad as the UAE royal family.

Makes you wonder why PSG and Man City are the ones who regularly get criticised or questioned over their ownership, meanwhile Inter seem to go under the radar.

If he goes to Man City that is one frightening front line they’ll have, I’ve no doubt them or Liverpool will pick up Suarez for free as well.

Would love to. See him go to Juve, but as said they couldn't afford it.

Although going back to Argentina would be really nice, but we all know its about the dough.

It’s fuckall to do with money, it’s the fact Bartomeu has run the club to the absolute brink of implosion. There’s no vision or philosophy anymore, they haven’t made a decent signing in about 6 year and Messis obviously had enough of it.

It's not really, as much as we don't think he does he has his own ego too, the appointment of Koeman and him already saying Messi's partners in crime Vidal and Suarez are for the off, have just hastened.

I do agree the buys have been pretty shocking, but doesnt mean he should be running for the hills.

I always hoped he'd stay there for his career or go back to Argentina.
