Really good so far (on 2nd episode). Love the footage of old New York during the 70's and 80's.

I managed to rattle through this one easier compared to the other series.

Dion is great, some player. Felt sorry for that RJ Stern guy - seemed to get overlooked a lot.

watched The Equaliser 1 and 2 over the last few days. Pretty standard action fare but Denzel Washington is cool as * as Robert McCall.

The Karate Kid was one of my favourite movies growing up so loving Cobra Kai on Netflix.
Ralph Macchio still looks ridiculously young for a guy that’s nearly 60.

Yeah watching it just now as well
It's good for nostalgia and easy watching. Never going to win major awards though.

It threw me a little trying to figure out what age the guys are meant to be portraying, assuming the timeline is relative they must be trying to portray 50-55 year olds?

Just finished season 1 of Treadstone on Prime, to find out they have cancelled it :55:

Thought it was great, right up my street, loved the Jason Bourne franchise! Had lots of potential as well...

Being a huge Karate Kid fan as a kid I thought I would give Cobra Kai a go. Wasn't expecting much tbh but I've been pleasantly surprised. It would have been so easy to stick to the formula of Cobra Kai = bad, Miyagi-Do = good but its really clever how its been written.

One of the saddest yet poignant moments was Tommy ending up in a body bag, a nod to his classic line in the original movie ("get him a body bag!")

As someone else said, this isn’t going to win any awards but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Entertaining and easy to watch with a great 80s soundtrack.
They have turned Johnny into an interesting character- far more likeable than Larusso who is a bit of a *.

    Spanish Shows:

    1. The absolute top of the list is - no surprise - Money Heist - La Casa de Papel - it's just brilliant!

The next are maybe not in any particular order

    2. Elite - E L I T Ǝ - another good one - the kind of * these kids get up to as teenagers is a bit over the top, certainly at least compared to my formative years! :D But it has good story-line and the acting is good (some of the same actors are in Money Heist)

    3. Cable Girls - Las Chicas del Cable - I'm currently watching this right now, two seasons in and have to say I really like it! There are maybe a few 'soap'-ish moments and some parts where the script could have used a little more polish vs taking shortcuts - but it's a great show and at end of each episode always anxious to see what happens next. I really like 'period' shows and this one set in the 20's - costumes and settings are amazing, reminiscent in that regard of Babylon Berlin which is in similar era and to similar excellent standard.

    4. The Great Heist - El Robo del Siglo - well obviously a rip-off of Money Heist, this one set in Columbia with a very similar theme - it doesn't really make the upper echelon relative to 'Money' but it's a decent watch.

    5. High Seas -Alta Mar - I did 'kinda' enjoy this - well first two seasons anyway - even though it is INCREDIBLY soapy, especially in the third season when a 'Twin' appears  But it fills a void when you need another series to watch

    6. White Lines - well that one switches between Spanish & English depending on the scene - I'd also give this one a positive review. (It's from same creator as Money Heist)

Missing from my list but probably on that of Many Others would Narcos and El Chapo

Morocco probably another I'll add to my list after done with Las Chicas - it gets favourable reviews.

And be sure to watch all of these in Spanish Audio with English subs - dubbed versions just do my head in!!! :D

    Dead to me

Blasted right through this one - both seasons. Great Cliffhanger at end for what is to come in Season 3 :D

(another one that the Trailer doesn't really do justice - this one hooks you in from first episode)
