Should sign him up just for the 10. Rile up the huns.

Have him plant a tricolour at Ibrox while he’s here.

There are of course exceptions but overall I would say the Stoke fans have been far less bigoted than the Sunderland ones.

The silence from many of the prominent football journalists in England with regards to the abuse McClean received (also highlighted by his wife) is telling for me. Not surprising, as they have been culpable in his persecution.

Mike Dean abuse was highlighted and condemned. Anthony Martial and a few other black players have also been subject to abuse. Again, highlighted and condemned.

McClean. Well he's still awaiting the same.

Ive been saying this for years. If you openly abuse say a Muslim or a Jewish person for their beliefs or morals you would get absolutely slaughtered in the media....you'd lose your job...you'd probably get some sort of criminal conviction for it.

But spreading your bigoted opinions about Irish people because some of them decide not to wear a poppy for quite understandable reasons is apparantly fair game

Ive been saying for years about orange parades aswell. Try marching about banging drums and drunk singing about how much you hate Muslims or Jews or black people and see what happens. If your hating Ireland and Catholics however Glasgow City council will be happy to oblige you with a marching permit. Total bastardry the lot of it

James McClean praised for giving brave Zoe Murphy 'one of the best days of her life'
Republic of Ireland star reached out to the five year old who has cerebral palsy after hearing of abuse she suffered at a recent game

The parents of five year old Zoe Murphy have thanked Ireland football star for giving their daughter ‘one of the greatest days ever’.

The Wigan Athletic and Ireland star reached out to the family after hearing of the shocking abuse Zoe had suffered at a recent League of Ireland game.
Dundalk fan Zoe was born with quadriplegia and developed cerebral palsy when she turned 21 months-old.

Her family were taken aback by the outpouring of support they received since the unsavoury incident where she was left in tears at the Louth derby clash.

McClean offered Zoe and her family tickets for the game between Ireland and Belgium and also use of his designated corporate box.

Zoe was also presented with a signed jersey from Stephen Kenny’s side.

“Thank you so much to Republic of Ireland legend James McClean for providing Zoe with one of the greatest days ever, inviting her to be his guest in his family box at the Aviva Stadium for yesterday's match against Belgium,” stated her parents.

"Not only did Zoe have an amazing seat and view for such an exhilarating game but everyone was so welcoming and friendly to her and made her day so special. Such a pleasure to meet such lovely people

“We couldn’t believe when he just reached out to us personally, and not only this but got Zoe her own jersey signed by the team.
“We absolutely loved yesterday and can’t thank James and family and friends enough for giving her such an experience.”

Commenting on his Instagram story, Ireland’s McClean said it was a ‘pleasure’ to have Zoe and her family as his guest. “Amazing wee girl yous have, pleasure having yous’.

Like he said, what an honour for his family and him where he was brought up. I remember some hun thought he was having a go at McLean by calling him a “* *”, the bold James replied, “Proud * *”, quality
