    September power.
Did and ew super hienz, the first one won at 16-1 . Then Ayr was called off so I've got a 16-1 winner 4 non runners and two to go. Was offered a £52 cash out on a £12 bet which I took. If the last two had won I'd have got around £1600.
I reinvested £30 and the next one came in at 12s.
If September Power wins I'll get around £600, which is £1000 less than it would have been.
So I'm now watching the last race half hoping it wins and half hoping it just gets a place.

Should never cash out, regardless of the out come.

Ok if the other bets lose ye made the correct decision but the emotions ye go through are mad.I think it best to let the bet finish and see what ye win,if ye lose so be it ,thats gambling.

Wouldn't normally cash out, but a few weeks ago I got offered £380 for a £15 bet. Took it and the bet ended up being worth £120.
But I think you're right don't over think it, just let it run

Golf bets are the worst for cash outs.

I got £790 for £12, so although it could have been better, it's still a good return.

I have my moments and regularly get wins and places at decent odds. However I also back a lot of donkeys. I'll put up my selections for Thursday tomorrow, but they will be my selections not tips

I cashed put last week for pennies with West Ham Villa game as it was 0 0 late on. Cashed out and saw the score flash up 1 1, never knew anyone scored. The other 2 teams came up, doh.

First two went down but don't worry the best is yet to come. Have you got some kids you could sell to raise funds for a lucky 31 on the remaining 5?

when the bookies come up with a system such as cash out you can be sure the odds are heavly stacked in their favour so best thing is not to do it.
i know its tempting and sometimes it pays off but over time you will lose,i worked in a bookies and it opens your eyes to how much things are in the bookies favour.

I like a bet myself and imo the best bets are singles and at a push a double, anything after that and youll fine while ye get close to winning the majority of times youll lose.

Disagree with that. You'll never go broke taking a profit.

But you can only make a profit on the bets that are going your way. If your bet starts badly the cash out will be less than your original stake.

In fact if you look at the cashout straight after you have put it on ( without any movement in the price) you will often immediately be offered a cashout of less than your original stake. Which pretty much sums up cashout for me.

The problem with cashout is the price you are given will always be less than the actual price should be or they wouldn't be offering it. If possible you are far better laying off on an exchange on a 100% book without the bookies advantage factored in. ( Though this depends on your type of bet.)

I don't bet on the horses but I did see Bathbhoys original post and have a quick look at the profit he could have locked in by laying that horse at 9.4 ( I think it was.) However looking at his post I didn't think he would have been that interested in locking in the profit.
