Definitely high grade munitions 1.1D at least.
Thats very high explosive maximum yield.
Not something should be within miles of a populated area.
So a secret location to hide the true nature probably

Mental. It could still just be a fireworks related blast though if it's reached an area with a lot of stored powder. You'd hope there were measures in place to stop things like that happening but it's happened before.

Aye the video on the previous page seems to show fireworks going off before the main explosion, I'm sure the facts will come out in the days ahead. Unfortunately until then this will be a dot joiners wet dream.

Thats a crazy looking explosion. Seeing the cars flipped over shows you the true force.

In the middle of a city seems like a very illogical place to keep highly explosive materials.

I’d say that is going to rocket drastically in the next few days. Wouldn’t be inconceivable for someone to plant a device in a fireworks factory and to trigger a second much larger explosion. Especially in the City it has happened.

Have read a few news reports saying it may have been Ammonium Nitrate that was stored there.

The explosion is terrifying, how neat and symmetrical it is.

Mad to think in any country no matter the differences in language ans culture, general health and safety/science would dictate, don't be keeping such a large quantity of highly dangerous chemicals within the vicinity of fireworks or other flammable materials.

Mental place to store what was obviously a large amount of it in a firework factory. The explosion is similar to the one in China a few years ago when a chemical factory blew up during the night.

    * *....Ammo Nitrate!!! Storing that amount and leaving it for any length of time and forgetting about it in a populated area is tantamount to murder if that's what happened .
    ,
RIP and hope it was quick for those that went. That's another country getting savaged from all angles at the moment. My cousin spent a year or 2 a while back in the refugee camps on the border trying to install some kind of education system and told me desperate is not a strong enough word for that situation.

When you see how far away this building is and it takes an absolute doin, shows the force. Like something from a film. Some of the scenes are horrific. Devastating for these people, so sad for those who have lost their lives.
