    £20m plus and Musacchio, even on loan to cover our * at CB would be unreal business.

    Musacchio or Gabbia permanent is the dream though. Plus the £20m+ is amazing.

    They’re looking for another CB as well as Kjaer (who was already there on loan). The Ajer link has been doing the rounds in Italy for months, I don’t think it started with the Scottish media. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did come in for him tbh.

    Its got a touch of the Boyata situation in it, in that we could receive a very good offer and not be in a position to sell because we’ve not been proactive enough in securing strength in depth in the position. We literally only have Ajer and Jullien as recognised first team centre backs (Bitton and Elhamed at a push).

    But Lennon insisted the Italians had not made a move and he’s looking forward to seeing the defender and the rest of his squad tested by PSG in Paris tonight.

    When asked about Ajer, he said: “There’s absolutely nothing in that at all. Nothing.


    Every single one of my players will be tested by PSG. I’m not singling out Kris.

    “But there’s nothing in that whatsoever. He’s got a couple of years left on his contract and I want him here and the club wants him here.”

    I worry if we sell Ajer. We still lack depth in quality. I dont know if i trust the board to come up with a replacement either. Id want players in before he was to be sold.

    If they offer 20 to 25 million we’d be absolutely mental to turn it down.

    If we can’t find a suitable replacement with even half of that money then we’d be as well packing it in now.

    If we get players in before he's sold, we'll get * all for him as he'll be unsettled. If we sell him and go for others the price will rise because we're cash rich... No great solution here, but for my 10 cent, if offered 20-25M I'd rip the hand off

    why would he be unsettled? We still need a centre back to replace Jozo. If not two. Its the only certainty of the situation. If either Ajer or Julien gets injured then we are in a predicament where we will either need to play young players at CB or Bitton there.

    His heading is dreadful for a guy of his size and stature.

    He should be chipping in as much as Jullien but won’t because his heid is shaped like a 50 pence piece and the ball comes off it at random angles.
