Somewhat different though to Toney, Maja is younger and moved to the higher level a month in to being 20.
Toney is 3 years older and hasn't proven anything for me at a level that would be comparable, "potential" at 24 starts to fade and the chances of a late bloomer is unlikely.
Both would be projects, but Maja would be a more likely success in some respects to having more time still in the "potential" years.

Rangers couldn’t afford £3m up front if they sold El Donkey.

Apparently? That would be the key word mate. They can’t handle kit sales then I don’t see any prospect in player sales. :39:

PETERBOROUGH chief Barry Fry has told Celtic to stop “piddling about” over Ivan Toney — as he could make them £50million.

Celts have had a bid of £5m thrown out by the League One outfit, who are believed to have a £9m offer on the table from Brentford.

Fry is convinced if the Hoops “get serious” over hot property Toney they can land a striker potentially worth tens of millions.

Celtic recruitment boss Nick Hammond has been in transfer talks with Fry over the last week.

It’s believed Hammond has indicated they could return for frontman Toney, who has hit 49 goals in two seasons, once they complete a player sale of their own.

But Fry told SunSport: “They mentioned they may be selling one or two. I think they’re trying it on to try to get Toney cheap.

I’ve had experience with Celtic, so I know the score. I know the manager wants a tenth title and he’s identified our bloke as the best.

“Gavin Strachan’s gone there and he’s backed up the opinion of Toney.

They’ve told Peter Lawwell and Nicky Hammond to go and get him, but they won’t get Toney with what they’re piddling about with, that’s for sure.

Toney would be a revelation for Celtic, he’d be a star, for definite.

"He’d score 30 to 40 goals up there, he really would.

“Not only is he brilliant in the box, scoring and creating with his right foot, left foot and head, at six foot four he’s also our best defender.

Celtic will get £40-50m for him.”

Barry Fry seems more interested in talking about Toney possibly coming to Celtic than he does about him going to Brentford.

Can’t imagine Lawwell will be happy with this Barry Fry muppet publicly airing our discussions.

Gotcha, initially read it as "I don't get this one" as not getting my point against a Toney deal

As a side, I don't want to be too harsh on the lad, but the finances involved and everything just doesn't make sense for me.

Aye this Barry fry character sounds part time as *.

Tell you what, take the 5million and if the lad scores 40 goals next season you can get another 5 million, but if he fails to hit 40 Fry owes us the original 5million back?

That's about the level of chat this lad has here, and he's meant to be in charge of major transfer dealings?
