It is increasingly looking like Ralston isnt good enough for Celtic but to be honest St Johnstone is an horrible team, and he cannot be blamed for a very expected loss. His level might not be Celtic but not this St Johnstone side either

No one is blaming him for losing, what he can be blamed for is being about 30 yards out of position for the first goal, really was dreadful defending.

He's shown very little so far to suggest he's above St Johnstone, if he goes on to make a decent career for himself at a club like St Johnstone he'd be doing OK.

Just cannot see how he would get back in contention, especially with those young boys from Manchester.
Problem, like Hendry, is he will be willing to sit tight and see out his long term contract.

A much improved Ralchops will return from St Johnstone ready for round 2 with Neymar Junior next season as we once again lock horns with footballs elite.

Usually guys promoted from the academy have cheaper contracts than the ones we sign from other teams. He is certainly earning less than Hendry

I am very specifically speaking of this St Johnstone team. They are in total disarray. Remember when we played them? It is really hard to develop your football and perform well in that sinking ship.

Yeah they're *, I'm well aware of that but Ralston himself is stinking. The game time will do him well, but based on the very little I seen from him yesterday, and more so in his celtic career, he'll have a battle on his hand nailing down a regular spot in that St Johnstone team.

Bad and all as they were yesterday, they should have been back to 1-2 with a few minutes to go-and would have made it an uncomfortable last few minuets. Instead, that lot are now world beaters.

With the amount of RB's we have at the club now he has next to no chance of playing first team football at Celtic. Theres no point in him hiding away in the Celtic reserves, he needs to go to another club and try to prove to people he is a player. From what ive seen of him he could certainly have a good career ahead of him but playing for a club like Celtic might be a step too far.

Someone we should actively try to punt in Jan.
Just don't see any future for him at Celtic.

I would think it is best for him to move on now at this point. We have ElHemid and Frimpong at right back plus young Lee O'Connor who made his Ireland debut there on Thursday so he has no immediate or long term future at Celtic at this point it looks like.

This isn't news to anyone, but he's not good enough. Doesn't look to have improved since the last time I seen him in a Celtic shirt. Don't know why he's being kept around, unless it's as emergency cover due to Elhamed's fragility.

Should be behind O'Connor too if he doesn't go out on loan

Wouldn't be against having him as a squad player. Would free up Elhamed to move into centre half.
I'd much prefer it was O'connor based on his cv but for whatever reason he's not involved, perhaps the plan is to loan him to a championship club in October.
Technical ability of Ralston isnt great but he doesn't half get up the park and get balls into the box. He's also a real threat at set pieces too.

Not even good enough as a squad player.
