It sounds like Lennon’s public shaming worked.

Mountain-out-of-a-molehill-CSC can find a new scapegoat now.

When someone is criticised for a mistake and subsequently turns it around, a quick well done and moving on is the mature thing to do.

Anyone holding a grudge against him now is childish.

Aye he looked fat right enough

Praise him for turning it around when the pressure was put on him to do so.

It’s not difficult ffs. Criticise when deserved. Praise when deserved.

Exactly what I thought. If true, I could do with some of that training regime.....

I was commenting on your reaction to the news that he is now in a condition to play football, rather than the news itself. I would have ignored the news otherwise, given that it is the bare minimum required of a professional footballer.

    Aye.

I wouldn’t ignore a positive reaction from a player after criticism.

Especially someone with obvious troubles, he’s dealt with it very well considering. Of course he shouldn’t of been in that position, but he was and he’s got himself out it.

I’m not having this bare minimum stuff. I’ve said it countless times. They’ve been locked up at home with exercise bikes from the club. There’s only so much you can do, I’m sure if he was at actual training the entire time it couldn’t of happened. It doesn’t excuse it, because others found a way or worked hard when they got back, but it allows me to give him the benefit of the doubt in this situation.

Perhaps a bit of tough love is what he needed. Appears to have worked hard based on Lennons words, and hasn't been * about on social media as much as far as I can tell.

Hopefully we can kinda draw a line under it now and he can be ready for games ASAP. He showed last season he is still able to produce the goods when fit. Would still like to see us add a striker.

It’s great that he’s put in a shift and is getting back up to speed. The challenge for Leigh now is to sustain that.

Having a fit and on form Griff gives us a very viable two up-front option, and also provides excellent backup for Eddy.

    That delivery he has

Great to see him on the pitch, some decent moments

Equally as pleased for Paddy. Great stuff.

With Griff back, Paddy hitting form do we still need another striker in?

We're gonna score some amount of goals with Eddy, Griff, Klimala and Ajeti..

That's before we talk about how many we score from midfield also..
