I’d ideally like to see FF and Hladky arrive...

I know mate but same could be said about Tierney rushing back into Hampden to lift the Scottish Cup after been at hospital with a broken jaw.

It’s crazy but it just shows you how money comes first for the majority of players these days, no matter what great moments they have experienced.

The difference is that tierney has the potential to go to the very top, Forster is 3rd choice at Southampton.

I fully agree with that statement but that wasn’t the original point.

The point is that success doesn’t seem to be as big as an influencer as we think unfortunately.

There is doubt Tierney has the ability to go to the top but as lots of posters on here have pointed out on here if a “die hard” Celtic fan is leaving before the chance of 10 in a row then we should never be fooled by any of this talk from other players such as Forster’s “coming home” antics.

Would love Forster back but this is getting ridiculous now. We have to move on now to other options. Hopefully Barkas instead of Hart.

I was thinking that FF was maybe not wanting to come back, but wondering if we're trying to do the cheap option of a loan and FF has maybe went nah sign me outright or not.

Would have been helpful if he told us that before we agreed a deal with Southampton. Would have saved alot of valuable time

Foster wants a to be a Celtic player but not on a loan so he's our number one target signing this year so up to the board to make the money available to get him here .
There should be no excuse if foster wants a 4 year deal and maybe 40 grand a week as he makes the difference in games as we saw in the cup final .

And that would have made what difference?

For me it may well be Celtic wanting the loan again.

Trying to do 10 on the cheap, no doubt.

If you're Fraser Forster, why would you drop a guaranteed 70/80k a week for 2 years sitting on a bench to go down to 40k a week. I think people need to understand that money is the main driver for footballers these days, and why wouldn't it be? Would you half your salary to go to another job because you liked the job better and the people were sounder? I wouldn't.

Bain is a good lad but Forster is another level that's all.

Biggest risk to the 10 is if we don't find the right keeper. Because this season is going to get dirty and we need someone of Forster's ilk to be our wall in goal.

He was obviously giving the right noises about another loan deal or we wouldnt arranged another one. He's waiting to see if he gets a better offer down south. We are his backup option. He knows fine well we cant afford his wages

Depends on foster does he really want to be number 3 goalkeeper and sit twiddling his thumbs all season doing nothing or play champions League football and win cups and be number one goalkeeper and yes for less money but he knows the situation .

Commendable, but I think you would be in the minority.

Like I say, I dont think being a number 3 vs winning trophies comes into it as much as folks would like to think. Sorting out his family for generations probably comes into it more. You can't really blame him for that.

Yeah your right, but there are some players out there still.

Over the years, McStay, Brown, Larsson. Forrest.

Mcstay and Forest are different situations though because they were at Celtic from the start and were both Celtic fans to begin with.

Tbh mate if I had made 80k a week for most of my career and someone asked me to a job I knew I would be much more happy and successful in ( not money wise)and making a big contribution to the company as opposed to sitting in the backGround but my wages were reduced to 40 k a week which is still over 2M a year, ID seriously think Happy , wanted and successful earning 2M a year, unhappy and insuccesful and unwanted earning 4M , I’d definitely go for the first option
