I would agree, always confused me that he would put in top performance after top performance but genuinely looks clumsy on the ball.

He is very effective though. Solid defensively and very good going forward. Strangely good crossing from someone who I agree, isn't technically that gifted. Full back is a lot to do with hard work though.

I think he reads the game and what opposing players are doing well enough not to have to rely on amazingly skillful dribbling. He often beats players pretty simply down the wing with a slight change of pace, and can put as good a ball on as Robertson. I'd say he has a better shot on him than Robertson as well. Their passing abilities are both very impressive.

I think at the moment Roberston still looks the better of the 2 but it's early days to say Tierney won't become as good as him. Might not be able to emulate his success at Arsenal though, that might be his biggest hurdle. AR has a no bad team and coaching staff around him!

Thought he was excellent against Liverpool, Salah hardly caused him any problems and playing left sided centre half he was very disciplined.

Arsenal fans starting to see how good a player he is.

KT is a great player, but he's playing in a * Arsenal team under a rookie manager, actually thought he played well last night considering Arsenal were camped in their own half for the vast majority of the game.

That was some howler fae big VVD lol.

If he can somehow keep up his own level of form despite being at such a basket case of club then I see no reason whatsoever at all, he can't be easily considered better than Robertson.

Think Arteta will be a good manager the substitutions he's made in games I've watched have been spot on, he has picked youth players who are clearly knocking on the door in training and the shape of their team, organisation and fight are much better than under Emery. His interviews are very good as well.

Question is will their board back him in the transfer market and can they attract top players if they don't make Europa? They absolutely have to keep Aubameyang to stand a chance of top 6 next season.

I think the system Liverpool play suits Robertson far better and therefore he looks better.
Still yet to see the best of KT down there.
Although I did see him a few times hesitating to take his man on when in a decent position to attack and instead play a “safe” pass backward. Needs to be more assertive imo, unless that was his managers direction.

I thought they were low/minimal since the fee was all upfront rather than staged tranches.

Don't agree with that. I remember Tierney having a decent game for Scotland at LB. A position he's not a natural at.

I've seen Robertson play for Scotland several times more than that and he's been pish every time. Normally floating around like a fart in a spacesuit looking for * Gigi Wiljnaldum or whatever to bail him out.

i like seeing any scottish boy doing well in the EPL but watching KT its like watching a wee brother going at it. i get folk having emotional knee-* reaction to him leaving us but the bhoys doing well, and i think hes going to shine over the best part of the next decade.
