I would imagine it’s what you need from the car that is the deciding point.
I hear the cars good. Reviews are good it’s reliable & it looks nice
in fact it looks great compared to a Nissan duke, the mokka & the Renault that are competing with it. The mokka does seem to have taken off though so they either sold it at a great price, it’s a good car or vauxhall gave them all a good never never deal.

The 308GTi 270 is a bargain used. The worry is those front brakes. They are very expensive.

The discs are over £1000, pads £250 and the pistons in the calipers are also known to rot. They need replaced with stainless pistons and if it's done too late it's new calipers at another £1300. That's without labour costs.

Unfortunately performance cars come with performance prices. A few people have been caught out with the Peugeots thinking replacement parts are Peugeot prices. Those brakes are 380mm Alcon brakes.

You could always hope it's been owned by an enthusiast that has done the right work. The likelihood is the owner has traded it since brake bills are coming.

A Mini Cooper S is a good balance between performance and costs. You'd also get a good Renault Megane RS 275. It must have the Cup pack and Recaro seats are a necessity for many. It's the best hot hatch to drive around that price.

Got this beast a couple weeks ago- Octavia vRS 2.0L Turbo. Absolutely love it, does everything I ask of it and loads of space. Next up is a roof rack for the family mountain bikes

I'm sure by the time electric cars are popular on the roads the negative impact of producing and disposing of the batteries will be headline news.

They'll be taxed heavily and you may as well have stuck with the old petrol engine.

Topically just had a 330e hybrid delivered today. Would have went full electric but the infrastructure isn’t there yet to make it feasible.

The refinement on electric only is superb. See electric demonised from all angles, mostly from the types of folk you’d find on the Pistonheads Forum, but I’d definitely buy a full electric car now but for range anxiety.
