We learn from reliable sources that the Algerian Haris Belkebla has been in great demand in recent days. Contacted by Glasgow Rangers, the former Valenciennes FC player is facing a problem of release that his managers in Brest refuse to discuss. Belkebla has received another solicitation from rival Glasgow rivals Celtic. The club have made an offer that they consider to be an interesting one and may well change the minds of the Breton officials. The Algerian is willing to take the plunge, but his sporting director has told him that the Brest management are not interested in hearing about his transfer. In other words, Brest, who are hoping to confirm their place in Ligue 1, have made Belkebla one of their key players for next season.

    Lens isn't giving up, but...

According to our information, the Algerian midfielder from the Stade Brestois is keen to embark on another adventure abroad if, of course, the offer will live up to the expectations of the Breton club. Moreover, Haris Belkebla is not at all indifferent to the solicitation of Racing Club de Lens, which has made the recruitment of the Algerian international a priority. "It's the Lens coach who wants Belkebla and this team won't give up, but everything will depend on the forthcoming negotiations between the two teams' leaders," said a source who is very familiar with the issue. This is a real source is not speculation.

Brest's sports director doesn't want to know anything about it

Even if financially a transfer of the Algerian Haris Belkebla to England or Scotland would bring a good financial windfall to the club, the sports director of the Stade Brestois could not respond favourably to the offers brought back to the club by Belkebla's agent. Considered an important asset in coach Olivier Dall'Oglio's chessboard, Haris, who has resumed training with his team-mates at the Stade Brestois, hopes to see his future clarified before the championship resumes. Of course, at 26, Belkebla remains one of the best players in Ligue 1 in his position, which explains why former England star and current Glasgow Rangers coach Steven Gerard is keen to sign him next season.
