Incident in Glasgow

The amount of racist bigots already passing judgement on Twitter is disgusting.

 

Shocking!

Sympathy and thoughts with those injured and unfortunately dead in all of this.

Islam and Asylum seekers already being mentioned, but so far for me there doesn't seem to be any confirmation of anything here, will like to ask folk to wait for the facts before we start insinuating or pointing any fingers here.

Edit: Not saying folk in here, just the way some of these tweets are going about are quick to tag on "housing asylum seekers" which is going to drive a narrative here. It all very well may be linked to that, but there also can be a massive number of reasons for this incident that isn't just a simple "asylum seekers be bad" which is what this type of "reporting" is going to do.

 

The city centre is going to be an absolute shambles this weekend if protests are allowed to go ahead.

 

Police Scotland:

UPDATE 15:25 ACC Steve Johnson said: "The individual who was shot by armed police has died. Six other people are in hospital for treatment to their injuries including a police officer, who is in a critical but stable condition.

I don’t think there’s really any need to jump to conclusions with these these. If there is a chase behind this, then whatever one it is is wrong.

The best we can probably hope for in terms of limiting a media storm and subsequent protests is that it’s not terror related (whether right wing or Islamic).

From the little I know so far I am prepared to say that I think the atacker was Muslim.

However what isn't so easy to say is, was he a radical muslim or was he somebody with mental health issues, who has been exploited by radicals.

Always terrible hearing about * like this, but it really hits home when it's your area.

See the amount of scum * over social media itching for the “I told you so” if this is this a racial attack.

think he's just pointing out what to expect to be pushed on social media by people (not) in the know.

 

Because I think the little I know is enough to make such a statement.
