What he's delivering is unprecedented and sure he has his faults, * the faults, he's delivering.

Totally agree with this if Eddy won’t sign the one year extension I fear he will be sold.

on the second point I done a bit of analysis of transfers from Lenny’s first season 10/11 to now and across 80 players we have a surplus of £45.25m.

This doesn’t take in to account potentially some loan fees in Ronny’s first year as couldn’t get details but does have players like Ajer, Christie, Eddy and Ntcham as negatives just now as we have bought them and they remain at the club.

We have been involved in around 6 big sales during that time McGeady, Forster, Wanyama, VVD, Dembele And Tierney which combines to more than £61min sales if you take the VVD sell on in to account.

Most of our buys are in the £1-3m category, with the odd exception Ntcham, Jullien and Eddy being the main three.

When you see it laid out there are some great signings who also made a small return like Hooper and Ledley. Others who came in for free or modest fees and done a great job and left for free e.g. Commons,Lustig and Izzy. There are also some deals like Kelvin Wilson and Matthews where we got them on bosmans and managed to get a couple of million when selling them on. Also the likes of Griffiths who was signed for just a million and is still here having scored over 100 goals.

However there are some real poor ones particularly Strikers during Lenny the first time and Ronny like Pukki (I know he’s good now), Scepovic, Carlton Cole, Colin Kazim Richards, Mo Bangura and probs worst of all Mo Bangura. Just hoping Big Bayo or Klimala don’t end up additions to that list. Then there’s a couple of defenders from Rodgers time Hendry and Marvin Comper that were a waste.

Just took this from video celts,

Peter Lawwell joined the board in October 2003.

    His salary for the 1st 8 months was £166k (£250k p.a.)
    Celtic T/O was £69m. Wages were £40m.

Turnover last season £83m. Wages £56m. PL £3.5m

So turnover up 20%, wage bill up 40%, Peter’s salary up 1300%

    For what exactly ?

I think it's important to distinguish salary from remuneration before you get accused of misleading.

Of the £3.5m he took, £2.4m of if was bonuses through the LPTIP scheme which was an equivalent bonus for 2 years. His salary before bonuses was £1.15m which still works out 4 times more than when he first walked in Parkhead.

The wider point you make is salient though. No other salary has went up so substantially in that period.

The board raised his basic salary in 2016 When Rodgers bacame manager he got a 104% wage rise then his basic went from £559,000 to £1.14m then the LTIP scheme came in for him but aye it’s a fair old whack! Am sure higher paid than 16 out of 20 EPL CEO’s

I'm not a big fan of the way he treats the fans but without his control of the money I highly doubt we'd be as strong now as we are financially and one of the very few clubs able to ride out this Corona crisis for a good few months yet.

Is he worth the amount paid in comparison to other CEO's running a similar sized company I have no idea. But it's on the field where I want to see continued success and better players. That gets delivered and we survive Covid is best I can hope for at the minute.
