Early this afternoon on a very disappointing Butterfly hunt i was delighted to come across a pair of Spotted Flycatcher which more than made up for the lack of the former:biggrin:

Ty m'dear and everyone else :50: I think I just get lucky sometimes and it helps when you never see the same kind of day twice!

Awe thank you. If I am talented it's not really something that I'm conscious of :56:I just see something I like and click. Sometimes it comes off and a lot of the time it doesn't look like I expected. I think that it helps living in such a scenic environment but I think I would do my photos more justice with a better camera :52: We have a lot of Gannets, Hawks and things that I would love to capture. I'm still learning about the camera that I have and I'm more conscious of it's limitations. Sometimes I feel that it really limits me so I just try to work with what I have.

Gorgeous wee birds. You've outdone yourself again :50:Those wee birds are all lovely. I rarely see anything other than a Chaffinch or Goldfinch. There's plenty of small birds but I seem to be unlucky in trying to capture them with the camera. Sometimes I come across a poser :56:Maybe I should get a bird bath :56:

That used to happen with us years ago. We had a gorgeous big garden with feeders and stuff everywhere. What a mess the birds made :56:tossing seeds into my borders and unidentifiable things sprouting up everywhere. Was always pressure washing :56:The crows used to bring bread from elsewhere to dook it in the bird bath then they would hide bits. Just recently a couple of wee blackbirds adopted us and we're having to close the patio door every time we're outside as the wee buggers are trying to come in the house! I'm not having that :56:

In fairness, I couldn't miss. I was a few feet away. They're used to us and seem to know we're harmless.

I think you're right. It's like the blackbirds with us. I can't get near anything small out in the open as they sense danger and fly off or continually flit 100 yards up ahead of me :56:

I once got within a foot of a goldfinch. He was on one feeder while I was working on the other feeder beside it. He was either really starving or else he just wrote me off as dangerous.

They learn pretty quickly to trust a little bit when someone is feeding them. You obviously have a real good way with them.
