Thought I'd fire a thread up.

Tonight, at 21:33 UK time a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket will blast off from NASA's Cape Canaveral Florida.

The mighty rocket will be carrying two Astronauts to the International Space Station inside a new Crew Dragon Spacecraft. This is the first ever commercial launch of Astronauts into space by a private company, SpaceX Crew Dragon Demo-2.

You can watch the launch live on the links above. After lift off, you may be able to see the Crew Dragon spacecraft around 15 minutes later passing over the United Kingdom. An unmissable and historic sight!

The launch is planned for 21:33 UK time. This may change, so stay up to date on launch timings with @VirtualAstro on twitter and Facebook. @VirtualAstro will also post up to the minute alerts on spotting the Spacecraft as it passes over the UK and Western Europe.

Be as nice a night on Saturday to get out for a swatch.

I was on a plane to Florida the last Shuttle flight, we seen it from the plane. Then we went to Kennedy the following day, a retired astronaut was there speaking to folk walking about and taking pics etc...

My mind was absolutely blown by it, didn’t bother my shirt before it and suddenly became a massive space geek.

They have the absolute best, that’s why it was postponed? :97:

Not quite the night sky but

Anyone else catch that A330 that flies over every day around 3pm?

It's a Beijing to Dublin flight, I get pure excited every time as the sky is so clear just now and there are so few flights, pretty * loud considering its 40,000 feet up

It flew directly over me yesterday. An impressive sight in the blue sky.
Still find it strange though that you can fly to Beijing with a bunch of strangers but can’t enter the home of a family member :39:
