Those are going to be 2 very different things in all probability...

While I’m happy with PLs approach over the last 2 months... he will be watching the vault mound deplete and won’t need much excuse to wield his trimming knife across the squad.

This is another window all about holding onto our best assets for me. I really don’t want to see an Edouard or CalMac going but suppose we have quality like that to restore the financial position we were in.. if necessary.

IF the rumours of a shortened CL qualification route prove true ... then there could be serious money figured in and hopefully stave off losing quality players.. especially since I don’t think we will get best value this summer anyway.

Really hoping that the Loans and Kouassis etc will be enough to satisfy them.

Keeping big Fraz would be my only wish in terms of extensions or incomers.

I don’t think we need to improve much for the league at least next season. The ‘opposition’ will be more ragged than this one.

I have no problem helping clubs being relegated. Partick Thistle are the ones i feel worst for. And as nearly every club has also expressed sympathy and said nobody should be punished / lose out then i am sure that deducting 10% from every club next payment will get overwhelming support - Hey, ICT might even throw in some extra as they feel so strongly about it.

Helping these clubs absorb the financial hit next season ( which is partly due to covid ) is well within the means of our club and the SPFL board. We all want to move on and this for me would really help remove these three voices from any future court threat

and a big plus is the huns having to pay those clubs who are their only real support

Kouassi has a year left, we will be lucky to get rid of him on a free, Hendry has 2 years left and I think you would be stupid to sign him (see Congerton), Ralston maybe a free if St Johnston want him. The loans may be leaving but we knew they would anyway.

Please don't speculate on who might be leaving in this thread. You can start a thread on that topic elsewhere in CC to debate such matters.

The use of 'hub' stadiums to enable Scottish football to resume in front of fans is being considered by the game's Joint Response Group (JRG).

The venues would host "multiple matches over a weekend" with the plan being considered over the next fortnight.

Among the other issues discussed during the first two weeks of talks between six sub-groups are the practicalities of closed-door games, online streaming, virtual season tickets, and a change to the summer transfer window.

Scottish FA President and JRG chair Rod Petrie thanked the 69 football figures on the groups for "the dutiful way in which they have embraced the challenges and responsibilities" of how to restart the game.

A further update is expected at the end of May.

Before then, each sub-group - medical, club and stadium operations, club and supporter welfare, broadcast and innovation, welfare, and grassroots - have a series of "next steps" to consider.

    More to follow.

Does resume mean to finish this season off?, or does it apply for next season only I wonder?

Sounds like a lot of hot air. How does that make any sense at all? Have even more fans heading to one area from all over the country, possibly socialising for extended periods as they wait for their game and for them to then go back to home afterwards. Sounds like a way to spread COVID not prevent it.

You have to go through all the ideas to work out what might work and what doesn't but this looks to be pie in the sky. How does the enable fans to be present is the bit I don't get about it. Anyone got any ideas?

I think the "hub" stadiums are for behind closed door games which may be televised or streamed rather than several crowds a day descending on 1 stadium.

Hope it would be to finish this season. Imagine the huns rage when they can't push the 'tainted title' line. Would be magnificent.

Pretty sure they mean next season. The boat has sailed on any chance of the last 8 rounds of this season being played at this point.

Suppose it keeps 1 ground staff, 1 set of security etc in contact with the same sets of players. If they want I'll sign on and play for £1.49 a game and happily dive into screaming infected fans when I score the last goal that secures the 9 :56:

Talk of virtual season tickets, I think there would be a massive uptake in that if it was open to everyone.

Hopefully this season but I’d assume it’s next season.

I can see Sky Sports doing everything to stop virtual season tickets on steaming platforms. It could easily make Sky redundant as fans would subscribe to their club in a season behind closed doors. Unless Sky themselves put cameras in every ground and streamed them on their website. But then clubs wouldn't get virtual season ticket money. Covid changes everything. I can see Sky wanting to reduce our tv deal, and taking clubs to court to stop them from getting money in virtual season tickets. Basically all clubs are going to lose so much income. Celtic have 53,000 season ticket holders! It'll crush us not to get that money in and live off the breadcrumbs of sky sports.
