As I'm sure you know, the contract that would sell Newcastle United to the hands of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Crown Prince MBS is closer and closer in every minute now.

What are your thoughts about this, fellow Celts?

It's Newcastle United, they'd probably still * it up.

The sooner the EPL just * off and leave the rest of football to actually enjoy the sport, the better.

Yeah but surely they know wait 6 months and you'll save millions. The price of the club will still be the same.

    I honestly hate Newcastle..

Never forget we played a testimonial down there and that fat tramp Allardyce brought on a keeper as an outfield player to rip the pish. That just cemented it :giggle1:

Happy for their fans if they finally get some success, an extremely loyal fan base that love their club who’ve been * over plenty of times. There are strong similarities in that with us as fans.

I like the city and I like the Geordies.

    Fair enough.
I still think they won't get success that quick, if at all. All clubs in that league are wealthy with guaranteed revenue of £100m before ticket sales and sponsors so others will be buying. It will take them years to build up a squad as good as Liverpool or Man City. City and Chelsea got money prior to other teams bar United and Arsenal were very wealthy so we're able to become a top side quickly

They have been in the Championship as recent as 3 years ago. Success would be consolidating their status there, finishing regularly top half, reaching a European spot, getting a trip to Wembley etc...

The super wealthy are insulated from both the virus and its financial damage...

Unfortunately the oil price drop won’t last long enough to have impact on them.

Sounds like they aim to be Aberdeen.
Yeah I get what your saying and I think their fans would be happy with what you have said but I've seen media try and sell it as them becoming world beaters, they may but I doubt it.
When was the last time Newcastle were at Wembley, any time they promote they win the championship.

Not seen a single article labelling them word beaters, ones I seen suggested they wouldn’t be doing a Chelsea or a Man City. I don’t read tabloids though...

With proper management they don’t really need that anyway, they are a hugely backed club and would naturally find themselves gradually evolving up the way.
