Obviously no time for Hearts but it does seem harsh on them, maybe the prize money should be redistributed to include some sort of parachute payment for them.

I agree we are the ones being hard done by at the top end of the table if we don’t get to play the games. As we all want to see us win 9IAR and get to celebrate it for weeks winding up other teams in the process. Sevco mainly.

But do folk really wanna see a lot of teams going bust in our league? Servo aside? Would ruin the league.

It will be down to SFA to make the decision for them. Clubs can only fight it for so long as they need prize money.
My honest opinion is any club that tries to * us in anyway gets no loans from us.

Celtic could feasibly be that club.

Why shouldn't we force them to finish the season? We're the only club that wouldn't be * by that.

I agree and I hope we do , does anyone have any idea what our plans/thought process is?

apart from saying we want the league finished we have been quite quiet on the front of the votes etc

I think staying quiet until the time to vote is actually the best policy.

They have the media frantically *ing to their tune and we only suffer if we start yapping in public.

Let the clubs who are in peril fight it out and we can simply cast any deciding vote that is required (taking on the role of wise elders).

    * them and their screeching

Sitting back and saying fuckall whilst elsewhere are releasing statement after statement, is definitely the right way to go..

I honestly hope we vote it out as well. It will stop them all in their tracks and call their bluff massively..

I'd rather finish the season but if that's a no go... Points per game average is the only reasonable way to go.

Ask the clubs to vote again in a few weeks when financial reality kicks in for them

Don’t see why they’d say no.

They can’t make top 6 and you’d think their objective at the start of the season was to not get relegated.

Hibs will vote in favour of the SPFL resolution, the Evening News has learned.

The 42 clubs from the Ladbrokes Premiership down to League Two have been asked to submit their vote by 5pm today for the proposal of terminating the three leagues below the top-flight.

If the resolution is given the required backing it would see those three divisions decided on a points per game system.

In turn, it would set a precedent for the Scottish Premiership to follow in due course.

If the top tier was to be decided by points per game Hibs would drop from sixth to seventh due to St Johnstone’s slightly better average, the Saints having played a game fewer.

It would also mean likely relegation for Hearts unless league reconstruction is considered with the SPFL noting they will consult with clubs regarding that issue if the resolution is passed.

The club’s chief executive Leeann Dempster called for “calm heads and clear thinking” in the aftermath of the resolution being proposed, but she doesn’t expect football to be played again until August.

Terminating the season now would allow for clubs to be given prize money which could prove crucial for survival during the current climate.

The SPFL announced on Wednesday their recommendation that the 2019/2020 season below the Scottish Premiership be terminated.

The organisation’s chief Neil Doncaster said: “They all know there are no easy answers or simple solutions, but the Board’s recommended proposal will give us a far greater degree of certainty, minimise the harm to the game overall, and enable us make end-of-season fee payments now to Ladbrokes Championship, League 1 and League 2 clubs.”

The top-flight is more complicated due to Uefa but the SPFL are due to meet with the body later this month where they could get the approval to make their own decision on the Premiership, according to reports.

Doncaster said: “The quicker we reach a final position the better, but there is no doubt this is the most complicated and challenging situation our game has faced in living memory.”

For the resolution to pass it will need 75 per cent approval from the Premiership clubs, 75 per cent approval from the Championship sides and 75 per cent approval from League 1
