I used to have a white cat that was tone deaf and it had a blue eye and a green eye. I used to joke that if it could hear I would have called it lucky :56:I got him when he was a wee white fluff ball and within a week I discovered that he was deaf.....I think the running around the hoover was a clue :56:

Jeannie, our cat is called lucky because a friend of ours had a cat who had kittens in the shed, my mate wasn't able to look after them so he was taking them to the vet to put them to sleep, there was one left in the box when he came back, we took it and called her Lucky.

Awe poor wee babies :54: My cat was a crackpot. For a deaf cat it was always getting into scrapes and we just couldn't keep him in. He only lived until he was 10 because he got hit on the road :55: My second cat was also white but it had a smudge so we called her smudgie. She lived until she was 18 :49:

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
Two outings in my archives to look at today. First a year ago today with another lovely long walk in the Highlands with Ruby Roo. It was a fine long walk from Kingussie to the nearby Hills and Moors.
A cool Jay called and showed well it the start.A good few Red Grouse notes in the Moor and as we gained height a belting Male Ring Ouzel showed off.
At the top on the small Plateau a fine pair of Ptarmigan were very well received. 6 still White Mountain Hares were seen.
Then on the way back down 100 Pink Footed Geese flew over me and a Peacock Butterfly was a surprise. 2 Ravens also seen.
As dusk took over back at the edge of Kingussie 20 Redwing were noted going to roost and a Woodcock called as it flew past us.
Somebody get me a Time Machine:56:

Right the 2nd outing was somewhat briefer as this was in today 8 years ago this time with my first Boxer Daughter Jasmine.
We stayed for a week on a delightful little Village 4 miles from Kingussie in the Highlands.
Do a lovely dusk walk took place to settle us in. 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers And a pair of Bullfinch welcomes us. And a fine female Merlin wizzed past is on the edge of the vast Floodplain Marsh.
An amazing week had Started with Jasmine Boxer. Hope I do not send you all to sleep as I go through my archives:56:

never a camera when you need one !! peeked out the blinds this morning to the front garden , strolling through the daffodils were 2 plump wood pigeons not 3 feet in front of me , never saw them in the front before , what a picture that would have been .
This afternoon I was sitting on the bench ( under the bird box ) sowing seeds and repotting some plants , life must go on .
Anyway I became aware the wee sparrow (not saw it for a few days thought they turned the box down ) it then flew onto the perch chirping away at me , I then heard the chirps from inside the box , im claiming I was getting told the missus was in the box and not to be disturbed , so I moved away .. how long we into this lockdown now
