Dont get why they are snubbing the English idea of a summer mini tournament to finish the league quickly...

there’s no uefa 2020 ... better weather, all sponsorship deals and tv commitments as well as tickets (if not closed doors) can be honoured.

It’s probably just what folk want/need if there’s been zero sport for months and it’s possible... closed doors or not.

I really don’t like the way the SFA and spfl are heading with this.

Surely to *, in all of this, Sky must be in liaison with the SPFL like, come on, let's just salvage what we can of this season and deal with the knock-on effect of next season when it happens.

Why is every comment on Scottish football from places like the BBC all about the new TV deal with Sky next season. Scottish football hardly asked for a global pandemic and there has to be some leeway given by all of the broadcasters surely?

Celtic should call out SFA/SPFL and say that they make the decision now to end season with them as champions or they will sue them and force SFA/SPFL to reimburse all Celtic supporters their ST money.
Either that or they demand a decision be made by end of this week.

As soon as lockdown finishes they simply will have to play every 2nd or 3rd day. Fans or not.

People all over the world are laughing like * at Trump for suggesting America will be open for business come Easter. Why do people actually believe it will all blow over in weeks. We are talking about a global pandemic, a virus that is wiping out hundreds of people in Spain or Italy alone every 24hrs. What world are you living on talking about playing mini tournaments, 2 games, behind closed doors. This does not stop for anything anywhere. It’s favourite thing is people gathering together in any number. We are in for a long sit with this and if government or so called health experts talk about 6/8 weeks and everyone breathes a sigh of relief and return to normality of any kind, this is when the virus will really take over. I’m happy to have the trophy presented now.

Dont think we,ll see any sports return this year, while i hope im wrong i think we will be dealing with this * for quite a while.
Even after (if) it is brought under control we will need a period of time to make sure we have cleared it up completely and i can not see this happening in the immediate future.

Imo all footy tournaments should be postponed till we can pick up where we left off,if that means running into next season then so be it.

Then we can restructure the following seasons tournaments to fit the schedule, this way it will be fair for all teams as we will start fresh and on a level playing field for all teams albeit a slightly changed schedule/format.

There is too much at stake for the league to be declared null and void. Liverpool needing only 2 wins down south and us 13 clear and going for another treble. Then there's United in the Championship. The only teams it suits are the Huns and the Diets. The season will finish, as i dont see any other workable alternative as there is no way the SPL/SFA will give us the title on a silver platter particularly when mathematically we could still lose it (i know lol)..

If it was me and all going well with getting back to "normal" i would play 2 games per week in July, early August finishing with cup final and start new season a few weeks later.

You know huns and hearts be declaring that it should be void. Relying on a virus to save their season.

Be a different story if they where top thats for sure.

In the real world you null and void 8 games.

In hun * world you null and void 38 games.

    Which one seems more likely?

Edit. We can give them 3 gimmes and void the last 5 games.

The notion of voiding the entire season is simply ludicrous, and it’s also simply a straw for the opportunist with an agenda to grasp at. They don’t like how their season is going so they want an out. They want to rip it up and not be held accountable for being * all season. They see a rival is doing well, so their insane jealousy sees them praying for and demanding a null and void season. Not because they are right, not because it’s the right thing to do but because they are sad, jealous, bitter people.

The inferiority complex and jealousy rips out of the huns and diet huns daily.

They would love to be us.

    Exactly.

The suggestion the Huns are somehow disadvantaged by declaring final positions is ridiculous. If N&V happens they lose even more. The Hun argument is literally, 'We would like N&V purely to punish other clubs, even if it also hurts us'.

The consequences of N&V vs. declaring final positions make it very clear what should be done. Bearing in mind we've played 80% of a season..

    Null and Void
    - Celtic robbed of a title they were winning at a canter.
    - Motherwell lose hard-earned European spot.
    - Livingstone in particular lose hard-earned prize money. (Also all clubs lose prize money unfairly).
    - Dundee Utd lose hard-earned promotion.
    - Hearts aren't relegated despite having a terrible season.

    Declaring Final Positions
    - Champions-elect (Dundee Utd. & Celtic) are declared champions.
    - Prize money can be paid out. All clubs generally get what they deserve (Much better than nothing).
    - Hearts & Partick Thistle relegated unfairly.

For me the only clubs that have any grievance are the relegated clubs. There are solutions available for that. Either you modify the league for at least next season or you offer them some financial compensation. Pretty simple.

UEFA has invited the general secretaries of its 55 members associations to a videoconference on Wednesday 1 April at midday to share an update on the progress made by the two working groups that were created two weeks ago and to discuss options identified with regards to the potential rescheduling of matches.

The meeting will look at developments across all UEFA national team and club competitions, as well as discussing progress at FIFA and European level on matters such as player contracts and the transfer system.

If null and void is declared we should tender our resignation tbh.

I’d rather a season of touring friendly games than prop up a nation that hates us.
