Remember being in Kellys bar when a guy came in and said that Dalglish was holding a press conference in Bairds bar, nobody believed him lol.

Bit of both really depending on who you are.

Had a few pints in it before, bit standoffish until there’s some sort of vague connection made in conversation.

Park bar and Islay are both good pubs, I prefer park bar myself but both nice and welcoming. Neither are hun pubs imo.

I stay 10 min walk from them and been in both loads of times. Used to watch Celtic games in park bar all the time.

What a time to put this Cool Topic :56:

Back in the day,not quite Glasgow, but very much near enough The Cross Keys in Milngavie was pretty dam good. Friendly, great humour, and yes half Celtic half Hun,but some unreal banter on that score.
Had a great Dukebox for its day and did lovely burgers,I remember having one of those as a lad with my big cousins then off to see Rangers 4 Celtic 4,my first Old Firm Clash.
Yes happy memories in that boozer, believe it is gone now.

Fitba wan - Tolbooth. I know it's the size of a shoebox and you can never get a seat but you always get served rapid, live music on, everyone is sound - never seen any trouble in it.

Non-fitba wan - Howlin' Wolf. Good tunes, good scran, open til 3, serves Heverlee.

Did ye ever play pool upstairs mate ?

Used to love going up for a game after a few beers, if you sat in a certain part of the bar, you could actually here balls dropping from upstairs every now and again. :56:

Would you remember the big pre huddle huddles :party22:we used to have at closing time outside the New Regent when we had won something. Blocked the whole of Pollokshaws Road off and you could hear the cops coming from about a mile away
