They keep getting angry at Lennon and Brown saying that if we can't finish the season, we're champions. They're spewing about that. It's hard to argue against Brown and Lennon's opinion though.

I live in England, no one here has mentioned the season being null and void or that Liverpool won't be crowned champions.

It's literally their last hope they're clinging to. Their season ended with that Leverkusen result.

 

Same. Haven't come across a single person who thinks it'll be null and void down here..

Loosely hinted that there was another club that could conversely withdraw any objections to Celtic being awarded the title... but steered back to the no winner scenario quite quickly.

Intervirwed Ian Maxwell of SFA ... he wouldn’t discuss it Ashe was more concerned with cup and euro fixtures ... ie the games with money at stake for the SFA.

I think the correct result will play out... but can see the SFA/spfl allowing it to drag out into June at earliest.

Wouldn't even mention us numerous time's was saying "Cove Rangers and Dundee United deserve to go up. No relegations"..

Then was forced in to saying us for the league. Had to be asked. Sat quiet when Broadfoot asked and then Tom English went well "you have to have a winner if there's no relegation"....He went "well what about league 1 then as there's only a point in it"..

English then said well "if it's called then the team at the top"..

Then McCall said "well Celtic then"

This is a guy that was spewing about why KT was rated in Scotland before on that show..

This is a guy trusted to have our young player's interest at heart? Would never ever loan him a player again..

 

On the back of that hope to * Thistle get relegated, especially with a game in hand and 2 points behind 2nd bottom, wee *.

 

Did they really try and suggest we should give up the trophy? Jesus Christ, we’re winning the league at a canter ffs.

He kept saying - and he would since he’s with a club facing relegation - that “no club should be in a worse position than they started the season..”

Well... Celtic started off as reigning champions , so how does that fit your model?

What would happen if a club goes bust? Does that make the season NULL & VOID!

Time to stop this nonsense, The league must be completed by whatever means - either positions as they stand now, play behind closed doors or extend the season and cancel next years winter break to have later start

The precedent was set in the old Yugoslavia. The season ended before all games were completed and final positions declared. IF we were not going for 9IAR then the huns would not care ,, and many Celtic fans would also be less concerned. Liverpool being 30 years with no title win is similar in that it means so much to both of these clubs.

 

Look, it's just desperation on their part... even if they win both derby matches against us that'd still leave them needing to win their game in hand as well as 2 more victories (or 1 and a draw) than us over the rest of the season... there's no chance they'd get that kinda swing, when they're the ones in freefall. The wait of evidence falls on them to prove that they could stop us, not vice versa.

I didn't know about the Yugoslav precedent before, so less inclined to bend on anything now.

Saying that, I'd love to play just the 2 derby matches, so we could burst their *-filled bubble all over them!

 

The SFA have since said it is a "fairytale" to suggest the league can be concluded by 30 June due to peak not hitting UK until May/June.

Where does that leave us? Someone surely in authority has to be asking these questions as we need clarity. Even if they said we will try to finish the league as requested by UEFA but failing that positions at the time will stand so prize money, european places etc can be confirmed...

Is that too easy or do the SPL just not want to commit themselves to abuse from others?

 

SFA have said NO to behind closed doors matches.
Null and Void isnt going to happen, either.
Finishing league and cup by June 30th isnt going to happen as teams are not risking the health of players, staff or needed medical services.
This means that the title will in all probability, be awarded to Celtic and Hearts relegated.

 

For me, this is the only real issue, where a team is in a position of being relegated and has that game in hand that could take them out that position. They are the only ones hard done by this.

Otherwise, every other team needs to suck it up. Even the Huns game in hand makes no * difference if played or just simply given the points (not sure st Johnson would be happy to just give them the points mind you).

So the Huns are now saying stop league after 22 games.. but what happened to them insisting ALL 38 games must be completed?

Since they now agree that 38 games need not be played then we could stop the league now. No relegation.. promote 2 teams and have 26 games next season. ( would also allow for this seasons games to be completed if that is what teams want.

And the rules need to be modified to prevent future discussions should a similar scenario arise. Pandemics will not cease to happen, the changes in the modern worlds transport just means they spread much faster globally.

 

For all we know it might not be possible to start playing Sport until say October??
Nobody knows just how Big the Pandemic will get And peak. So talk of finishing the league are in the bin.
We all know if of those manky Zombies were in our position they would be tearing down the Offices of Scottish Football to be Champions,the Super * Hypocrites!!!
We will be declared Champions no doubts about that,only sensible thing you can do unless you are the undead and the Diets go down,roughy titty.

Have our football authorities dismissed the option ofbehind closed doors?....I haven't seen that.This might be an option to get games played by the UEFA deadline request.

 

Spoke to staff at Celtic yesterday and they said not going to risk their players, staff, medical staff that are required at every match or other people that could get infected.
