IF the CL & EL get cancelled / Null & Void then what happens to all the co efficient points?

And if any fans got a season ban what happens to that ? is the ban null & void, was the ban served ?

What happens to all the goals Eddy scored, are they expunged from the record books ? Does he suddenly become a 9 million pound dud who went an entire season without scoring ?

There will never be a better opportunity to move (or perhaps to test) summer football.

The gaps between all teams would remain at the same % of a gap that remains now, only change would be St Johnstone taking over hibs due to their game in hand. St j would get 1.24 points per game and hibs 1.23

As a Celtic supporter and football fan it concerns me that noone from any football association has come out and said that their respective seasons will be concluded regardless of when that will be...it would appease fans in the wake of all this uncertainty and give us all some hope in what is an awful situation.

They can’t though. They simply couldn’t make that guarantee.

It’s an actively evolving situation and one in which the football authorities aren’t really ‘authorities’ of any sort. They’ll be taking their advice from higher up the chain of command.

Personally, I’m very, very confident that the domestic league won’t be declared ‘null and void’. Wether or not we get to finish the season in the usual manner though, I’m not sure.

    Appease fans?

    Give us hope?

You said it yourself, this is a period of uncertainty. Priorities right now are people's lives not sport results and records.

This will go on longer than I think most will imagine. And I think the British government are making and absolute balls of it while the rest of Europe acts. Cheltenham, our game even Scotland Wales was only called off yesterday after them saying two hours earlier it was on. Anyway i think what will happen in English prem will prob happen in spl, league positions as they stand and no relegation .. prob promote 1/2 from championship and relegate more next season

You are correct mate and i do recognise that the health and well being of family, friends and loved ones are our utmost priority but right now I am just trying to problem solve and look for some light at the end of the tunnel (seeing as there is little else to do now...)

I did not mean to offend or upset anyone or indeed appear selfish.

I think every scenario that doesn’t involve playing out the season in the usual manner will upset some people.

The two that are the most controversial are the ‘null and void’ approach, and immediately declaring league winners/relegation across the board. I don’t think either option will come to fruition.

The former option opens up a bigger can of worms though. You’re basically left with questions over everything from prize money, to European places, to coefficients etc. The one silver lining with immediately awarding ending the season based on current league standings is that football basically continues as per usual whenever it does resume.

    They can’t just void it.

There’s too much involved such as relegations, promotions, European places and titles.

Call the season as it stands - or work out avergaes, last 5 game form, what ever - it all equates to Celtic being champions again, the only argument and motive for voiding the league at such a late stage is to stop the title going to Celtic.

As soon as they do this, would be a decent gesture from Celtic to then turn around and announce that our portion of the prize money (approx £3mill) will be split between the other 39 clubs. The two only clubs against ending the season (always, if unable to finish it before contracts run out in June) should get * all, we know the two clubs.

    An impossible prediction.

We don’t know if it’ll follow seasonal flu patterns as much as we don’t know it’s going to end us all.
