Nothing else that could have been done. Hopefully 2/3 weeks is enough time for it to clear and we can then get on with the march to 9iar

Would have preferred they went ahead behind closed doors but at least they've made a decision, the idea being floated that this weekends fixtures would go ahead as normal then start restrictions monday was * nonsense.

The cynic in me feels the SFA are not allowing Sundays games to go ahead due to England postponed matches, if England said Monday then the SFA would gladly have followed suit.

I don't think that's true. Unless players start getting it like down south, we could and IMHO should have finished the league season behind closed doors.

    * that.... if they live day to day on the edge and uninsured then GIRU them!

sfa/spfl already said there’s no pot to cover this. So why should the taxpayer or other clubs help?

Like the welsh government handing out £1000 to flood households that weren’t insured..... not to the people who bought the 40 inch tv and some insurance rather than a 60 inch one and none.

Typically pathetic poodle approach by the SFA and spfl...waiting to see what England do before following. Says it all about them.

I agree with him,why didnt the SFA have the balls to do this before English football? Why do we always have to wait for someone else to to something first before we act?

And why wasnt all last nights games postponed when Italy has been in lock down for 3 days.

I dont mind that its postponed,id rather it was played behind closed doors and getting this league over with now,its in the bag,but waiting on it is gonna be long now.

If the monkeys in charge decide to prolong the season to fulfill fixtures then it will mean that players will have less of a break before euro qualifiers come around. Could have a detrimental effect on us.

The English FA released a statement last night saying all games will go ahead then Arteta tested positive for it 40 minutes later.

As much as the SPFL are diddies they’ve acted far quicker than the English FA have.

Would have preferred to play games behind closed doors but most clubs get half their revenue from gate receipts. Wouldve * our league

Here’s an idea.... scrub the qualifiers and 4 places for engerland, Spain, Germany etc...

    Make it national champions only...

Make it a knockout tournament (shorter and neater)

Start the first round in October - plenty time..

Give it a new name... sayyy... ooohhh .. something like... ‘The European Cup’

    Sorted! :34:

Whilst I totally agree somehow I think the corrupt monkeys in charge won't let that happen.

For what it’s worth I don’t think the situation will be any better by April/May so I can see the rest of the games never being played and chaos ensuing.

THE Scottish football authorities have announced a further update in their approach to addressing the implications of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The joint response group can confirm the decision of the Scottish FA board to suspend all domestic professional and grassroots football under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA until further notice.

As a result, the SPFL has announced the postponement of this weekend’s and the following midweek’s fixtures, which includes Celtic’s match against Rangers at Ibrox, which was scheduled for this Sunday.

The Scottish FA and SPFL will continue to liaise with governments and UEFA in relation to domestic, European and International fixtures in the coming days and more information will be communicated at the appropriate time.
