In the light of the ongoing developments in the spread of COVID-19 across Europe and the changing analysis of the World Health Organisation, UEFA has today invited representatives of its 55 member associations, together with the boards of the European Club Association and the European Leagues and a representative of FIFPro, to attend meetings by videoconference on Tuesday 17 March to discuss European football’s response to the outbreak.

Discussions will include all domestic and European competitions, including UEFA EURO 2020.

Further communication will be made following those meetings.

Play behind closed doors and once the league is mathematically secured either way conclude it.
The problem lies at the other end of the table where it's much tighter .

Thats what the Italians were saying last week, now they have all overwhelmingly welcomed it . It hasn't got off the ground here on our Island.
But aye, I just cant imagine the country on shut down. Mind it snowed couple year back and country was almost shut down for a couple days, that was mad haha

Gatherings in this sense tend to mean organised events of people interacting so things like sporting events, conferences and the like.

Things such as a large office building or a public transport hub will contain more but the interactions are not the same.

That's the rational I think anyway,

I know most of the avid Tim on Lewis my age and feel I should know this guy too. Think he must be from South Uist or Barra. Superstar regardless!!:50:

Most clubs would probably want a postponement..

We can afford the playing of matches behind closed doors, but it would kill some clubs.

Can see us playing into June at least.

Born but other than a couple years school up there mostly elsewhere. My old lady's still up there. Great free holiday and retreat to get away from the madness now and again.

Interesting to hear the scientists are telling the Government that banning mass gatherings won’t make a difference to the spread of the virus.

Can completely understand why, on the basis of stretched emergency services, they will though.

Gets better every time I go back mate. Probably age. When my wee ones up and outa school I can see me and the wife moving up. She hated it at first but loves it now. I've being to Ireland a good few times, mostly Donegal, and it's the closest I could describe it to.

Nice one, it's somewhere I will need to visit someday. Went to uni with a lad from Lewis and another from South Uist, and wife's mate's partner is from Benbecula. You's get everywhere!
