Aye Hahahaha he did just seem to be reluctant to say anything and kind of brushed over most questions. Didn’t want to stick people in it, especially Cummings.

I think it's difficult when you're actually still playing and are going to have to be in the spotlight again come the weekend.

Paul Slane etc can say what the * they want because their footballing careers are done regardless:56:

SCOTT ALLAN claims Peter Lawwell blocked his January move to Hibs because Celtic paid enough favours to the Edinburgh club over the years.

Ex-Hoops outcast Allan wasted a year of his career after going the whole of last season without playing a single competitive game.

After penning a pre-contract with Hibs, the midfielder was desperate to get back playing football by moving to Easter Road earlier.

Yet despite being totally frozen out by Brendan Rodgers, Parkhead chief exec Lawwell refused to do business with Neil Lennon's Hibees.

The boardroom politics proved a bitter pill to swallow for Allan, who was forced to spend the rest of the campaign on the fringes at Celtic.

Appearing on Open Goal's Keeping the Ball on the Ground podcast, Allan explained: "Brendan Rodgers had said at the start of the season you'll be part of the squad this year and then the first game of the season came against Livingston and I wasn't involved.

Very quickly after that I knew I wasn't going to play. It was just one of those things.

"I actually started going to the gym more, I became obsessed with going to the gym and doing spin classes at night.

I hardly missed a training session the whole of last season, but didn't play any games.

"I got myself to Christmas, I thought I'd manage to get myself to Hibs in January with Lenny, but then I didn't go.

"Why? Peter said I couldn't go to Hibs. They always said they had done too many favours for Hibs in the past, so that was off the table.

"I thought that would have got pushed through. And then the second part of the season it was doing extra sessions at night that kept me going.

"I just wanted to go and get back to playing. I had done the loan stints plenty of times in my career and it's not always the best thing for you.

"I thought the Hibs move would have happened and it didn't so that extra four months was what I had to go through."

Signed by Ronny Deila in 2015, Allan managed to make just 17 appearances over four years with the Scottish champions.

Following Rodgers' arrival the following year, Allan was shipped out on loan to Alan Stubbs' Rotherham United - a move he would later regret.

He said: "I remember Brendan coming out and saying I had trained really well in the press. He never said I wasn't training well enough or I wasn't good enough.

"We had good players who had done good jobs for Celtic over those three seasons. I just put it down to that. I had already dealt with it in my head that I wasn't going to be there.

"When I went to Rotherham, I think I should have stayed and I might have got a chance that year. But I was just wanting to play football."

Was obvious at the time that we never let him go early because of the McGinn fiasco..

We definitely have over-helped Hibs far too many time's for my liking but bit of a riddy because we didn't wanna cough up the dough for McGinn..

Didn't flow with them all on it for me..

I like Slaney he's mad but he talked over and cut quite a bit up in that..

Could see Allan was quite awkward at time's but he didn't come across bad at all..

I was in the camp that he was overrated but there is no doubt in my mind he'd have added a lot to our midfield now..

We 100% missed a trick with him. Criminal from Lawwell..

Hibs did their best to make sure he didn't go to us. Didn't they ask for over £3m and sell him to another club for less? If Hibs want to be like that then why should we help them? The only favour they did us was sacking Lenny.

"Was told today that Scott Allan has a heart condition and was sent urgently to a specialist in England yesterday as initial tests suggest it’s a career ender. Hopefully not the case."

Just been sent this. Hope he's ok.

    Hope he's okay.

Actually thinking about him a couple of days ago, one of the best passers of a ball you'll see.

He obviously didn't apply himself. In other areas but by heck he can pick a pass.
