Going to Livingston next week and my mate will be driving. Only ever travelled by train before so unsure about the situation for parking.

Google has information on this but would ideally like advice from those with first hand experience.

    Thanks

Was there for the defeat earlier this season. Plenty of parking nearby.

Parked here, and it was about £4-6 if I recall. Stadium is a 5-10 min walk from there, really easy to get to.

That's about best car park for the football. Walk straight down over the bridge and be at the stadium quite quickly.

That car park is 50p an hour.

There one at the designer outlet centre is also a short walk.

Asda has a big car park too, but I'm sure they have a maximum stay and ticket people.

If you don't want to pay for it and can down smart-ish then you can park in Columbia Avenue housing estate.

10 min walk from the stadium.

Avoid Asda. They do ticket folk.

    This I don't agree with.

It's a private housing estate and shouldn't be blocked up with football traffic.

    I wouldn't. I realise it's selfish.

Is basic consideration considered that highly these days?

    Should I feel honoured?

I'll need my BPM to reduce by about 1. I'm super sound up. :giggle1:

Pay the £1-£1.50 and don't block private streets.

Who said anything about blocking private streets? There's plenty spaces in it.

Have you ever parked on the streets near Parkhead?

Columbia Avenue is a small private street lacking parking for residents.

I never take my car to the football. If I was it would be even less of a decision where to park when there is dedicated parking nearby.

Not letting this one go are you.

It's a cul-de-sac where each house has a driveway and there's additional on-street parking. Plenty spaces.

So you've never parked anywhere in the vicinity of Parkhead?

    I'm not letting this go?

A simple point that most people would understand is making you try very hard to justify.

There's nothing worse living somewhere when people take over private areas. You've got plenty of parking nearby.

It's a private street without enough spaces for residents.

Again when going to the football I never take the car.

If it's a private street then people who park there will get a ticket then right?
