    Looks like 1 up front. If we went Eddy and Griff up front I think we could seriously hurt them if we put our chances away as those 2 together have been on fire and creating lots of chances. They would have expected us to go 1 up so being predictable better not cost us. With no Nchamp or Christie we may lack a bit of bite in the middle. Rogic needs to reach his best tonight with some nifty footwork and killer passes. COYBIG

    Bitton can cover both Centre half and Centre mid. Hayes and Frimpong cover the wings as well as full back positions. Maybe could have seen Soro or Dembele on there for Bolingoli but otherwise the bench is about as good as we can muster under the circumstances

    Looks like Lennys' been on the booze. What a totall f*#k up of a starting 11. And that bench would drive you to drink.

    * :56:

    He basically had one decision to make: choose two of Rogic, Ely and Griffiths. He picked Rogic and Ely.

    I'm hoping its more 3 5 2 although I don't like Taylor as wb, but maybe if Mo and oz are up the park and he's more fldefensve then fine. Just not sure about Ajer at RB.

    Mo and Oz could pick them apart.

    Other than Griff not playing I’m not sure who else you expected to be in the team.

    Be interesting to see of it’s a back 3 or 4, could be quite a fluid shape..

    Plenty of invention in the side..

    Mon now..:shamrock:

    That explains the lopsided look of fullbacks and lack of mids then. Cheers!

    True on their versatility, but none are regarded as those type of players and I wouldn't imagine we want to overly take that risk of playing them outwith their more given positions now - injuries etc though, they can fill in. But it wouldn't be a game changing tactic I wouldn't imagine. The bench, Griffiths aside and going 2 up, seems more geared towards the starting 11 seeing through the game and being subs just for injuries or fresh legs, rather than game changing.

    The bench is a bit "weak" in regards to no real game changers, Griff aside. But the starting line up is strong, very strong.

    Looks a back 3 to me, with Ely playing off Edouard and floating to the left as a sort of free role.
    Taylor as a wingback which if we do get pinned back, he falls naturally back in to full back, with Forrest covering that on the right, making it a sort of 4.5 / 5 at the back when we are defending.

    Fluid as you say.

    I think itll be like under Rodgers. Lustig(Ajer) would be more reserved and Tierney(Taylor) would bomb forward with Sinclair(Ely) darting inside

    Probably be Bitton, Frimpong and Griff from the bench.
