Maybe not won overall physically but at Parkhead he gave him a torrid time. Backing in and turning him resulting in a foul or a chance to advance because Jullien was too tight.

I think the criticism is fair. He’s praised when he should be and criticised when he should be. He’s came up against various physical strikers and struggled which shows he’s not learning how to deal with them.

Not sure what his age and height has to do with him bulking up. In my opinion, it’s certainly something he should do.

Why are we even talking about that * talking ugly wee rodent, mutant * in here??? * him.

Lyndon Dykes played better against Jullien than he did, he's * as well.

I'm happy with Jullien. The improvement from Boyata to him is night and day. We're controlling matches domestically and in Europe now because we have ball playing defenders. Yes, we'll lose the odd soft goal and room for improvement but all in all this has been a fantastic season thus far and CJ is a major factor in this.

no he didnt, its simply not true. Julien won a penalty and had a header cleared off the line from a corner and was a problem for them.

If anything you should be criticising Julien and Ajers failure to pick up the movement of players in attacking areas which directly led to Kent and Katic goals. Morelos had one decent chance wen he was played in behine our defence. Morelos had one of his quietest games vs us at Celtic park. The goals we conceded aside, Julien done a very good job twice of shutting Morelos out with the cup final included when he was huge for us. You should go back and watch the game and you will find that there is little to no evidence to support that morelos out muscled Julien.

Because at his age and this stage of his career, id be fairly certain we wont be seeing Julien adding much mass to his size. One of the beat defenders in europe im recent years, Diego Godin, isnt physically big in stature. Neither was Cannavaro. But they new how to read the game and how to position themselves and thats far more important.

He was given a torrid time against Dykes in one game, on a plastic pitch, with 10 men, when they played anti football and most of our team played *. His poor games have come very few and far between and its nonsense to suggest that he struggles with the physical side. Id challenge you to find any stats to back that up and id be more than confident they would reflect that he is the most aerially dominant in our league and is among the top tacklers.

The lads goal yesterday brings his season tally up to 6, as earlier in the season, this is matching the £7mill wonderkid (23 years old, ahem)Ryan Kent that is the apparent saviour of Scottish Football, let alone the huns.

To add to this, out of Dykes, Doidge, and Morelos - only Dykes has scored or directly contributed to a goal vs Celtic and it was from a run in behind a long ball from the GK.

In our last games vs Hibs and Livi, both have failed to score. The notion that he isnt dealing with the physical battle is unfounded and the expectation that he is going to win the battle on every individual tussle in a game is an unrealistic expectation otherwise he would be at a far bigger club. But on the law of averages and more often than not he comes out on top which is factually the case.

His first season was the worst thing that happened for him. Peaked to early and created unrealistic expectations for himself. To the extent that a winger with around 20 Goals and 10+ assists was considered not good enough. Mental we let this guy sit on the bench and played Lewis Morgan.

Edit: am talking about scott sinclair btw and no idea how a ended up in this thread

He's had a few iffy moments since the new year but his overall season with us has been fantastic. So many important goals scored and is far more composed at the back than Boyata was.

    7 goals already this season.

    He’s definitely getting double figures.
