Barca, Real and Utd are all spending a fortune and the recruitment has been pish. Quite funny...

Setien will get them winning trophies the Barca way. Won’t he @FCBarca

Great appointment, he beat Barca in the Nou Camp last season by playing passing football. Forget the fact he’s a serial loser, it’s the Barca way to employ these guys...

Would never advocate anyone getting punted so early on or wish him to lose as many matches as he has done at a team I like. My point was and is he isn’t the answer and Barcelona should be aiming higher.

I’d be delighted if he contributed to Messi picking up more major trophies but his CV and the start he’s made would suggest that’s a long shot.

To the naive observer who merely looks at the scorelines, kneejerking is fashionable.

In just over 3 weeks Quique had them playing well again last night, you can see it's coming together better & better. It's Spain so the officiating is not anything new (denied stonewall penalty & 7 bookings to 3) but Setien is not responsible for the disastrous sporting decisions by Bartomeu et al - moving Todibo, Perez & Alena while ignoring the lack of cover for Luis Suarez. They are playing better which is what most fans wanted to see so, personally, I am encouraged but concerned about the lack of depth due to these sporting decisions & that Pique is out and Leo is not 100%

The Dembele disappointment can't really be faulted on the board, it was a good signing - just has turned out poorly due to either poor habits, being injury prone or the technical staff failing to get him to adhere to an appropriate training regimen

The naive observer who merely looks at scorelines :56::56::56:

Barcelona are in free fall and anyone who can’t see that is either blinded or an idiot.

This hipster Barca fan habit of suggesting that there’s ultimately more to football than winning football matches is wearing extremely thin. Yeah nice football is nice, winning whilst doing it even nicer but the most important thing for huge elite clubs is actually winning. End of story.

Mes que en club, mes que Bartomeu too

Free fall, that will age well - only an idiot would come to that conclusion after 3 weeks

Never thought I’d say this but messi should leave Barca. By the time the new president is in and if everything works well for him messi will be nearly 34 by the time barca get their act together and can seriously look at winning another champions league. If he picks another top team with energy and pace around him he can end his career dominantly

As tired and worn out a cliche as ‘a club open to all’. Yeah it’s more than a club but the squad on the parks job is to win things. Pulling out that line whilst the team is playing poorly looks daft.

The manager has won nothing in his career, Messi is stuttering (not getting any younger) and has had a public fall out with Abidal, you’ve lost ground in the league and you are out the cup all within a few weeks. That is the definition of free fall and if the brakes aren’t put on that sharpish then it’ll only get worse.

No, but I am not surprised you fail to grasp how Barca are more than a club in this respect. Winning, is not the only barometer for success & affection from fans - Valverde won several trophies at Barca and few were happy with it

Free fall in that they are 3 pts from the League lead & cheated out of a place in CDR? A free fall where Barca outplayed, outshot and otherwise dominated the match last night - pretty clear you aren't familiar with what a free fall is

Free fall is actually not showing any positive signs and that is not the case for a coach on the job just over 3 weeks in a squad that has been decimated by injuries and poor board decisions. There are no brakes to apply, only reinforcements to make up for the player absences - the play on the pitch, has only gotten better since the coach has taken over. No one wants to see a brake on that
