I'm a pragmatist and understand fully what CEOs and the bean counters objectives and get it, no one wants a model that threatens the stability.

But this was the big window, the biggest in a decade or more. The time to flex our financial muscles, and we have been totally let down.

They are not fans, 9 and 10 mean * all to them, it's just another season to them and our business strategy of finding projects and sell for profit remains steadfastly what we do.

    * them all, * them all to *.

And you’ve missed the point again. If the product on the park isn’t performing then it will affect the rest of the business side you mentioned. If you can’t see success on the pitch means higher success off it then there’s nothing I can say tbh.

No I don't think they are really fans and I think the days of fans being involved positively with clubs is gone and has been for a long time due to the commercially driven sport football has become. It started in the 80s and escalated in the 90s. Celtic are just part of a bigger issue rather than the issue itself.
As a whole I tend to avoid professional football because of what I think has happened. I only watch Celtic and Scotland.

There is some truth to that but the club will already have massive sponsorship deals in place and will look at waiting lists for season tickets and view that spending x amount is not worth the risk and they will be OK anyway if 1 season goes * up.

It's not even just the rest of this season we haven't made signings that will see us prepared for the qualifiers in the summer when we're likely to lose Eddie and elyounoussi and forster will be back at their clubs. Last two summers this has cost us big time and once again lessons haven't been learned.

Think we're kidding ourselves if we think * the 10 will see him gone, they'll just make Lennon the scapegoat and then we're looking for a new manager again and this * will be picking who it is.

If you think there will be waiting lists if they blow 9 never mind 10 your aff yer heid. Those deals you quote are also linked to success believe it or not, Lawwell and the board have already lost us millions in gambling ie Champions League qualification. This has also been to the detriment of the team on the park as he recoups this lost money. Funnily enough money Lawwell himself quoted that we don’t budget for, this all the while my season ticket keeps rising, but aye you keep on talking * it’s giving me a laugh.

Fair summation of the facts Prof, but Desmond and him will never be forgiven, if things go * up due to their failure to properly invest to keep the huns where they are. - also rans.

Ok I know nothing is guaranteed, even with a shed load of new blood, but they’ll be seen to be negligent in not seeking out the players required to maximise our chances of completing the QT.

It's not DD that runs the club day to day though.
Lawwell is in his position to look after the shareholders money and make sure a profit is turned. So long as that happens, Desmond etc are happy.

But there is more than one way to skin a cat.

There is also money to be spent and we still will post profits and keep the shareholders happy.

Lawwell is first and foremost an accountant, he will always look after the books and make as much money for the business as he can, in turn he gets rewarded for it.

That's the issue here, is how he sees and operates this as a money business and not a football club.
The alternative is going to a total opposite extreme, and we blow too much money without thinking of the business side of it, but there is a middle ground, a point that lawwell is miles from.

A change there could see someone else out European success ahead of simply domestic success. Bettering our position in Europe to be able to compete in the champions League, not just make up the numbers. And to go further in the europa will reap rewards that can make spending money on the football side a good thing.

Constantly selling our best players for big money and replacing them with projects while lining his own pockets. Guy needs chasing out of parkhead pronto

I’m not even one of the ones who moans about how little we spend or how much we have in the bank.

It’s more the fact that his ego is so out of control he wants to run the whole club.

It’s like Woodward at Man Utd. They’re utterly incompetent when it comes to ‘football’ matters. We’re just lucky that we have so much more money than anyone else in Scotland to be honest.

Our forward planning and recruitment and absolutely miles behind what it should be.
