I wish he would move somewhere.
He won't ever be coming back to us but it's such a waste that he is not even playing football!

Really good player just missing out on his career.

NEIL Lennon has admitted he would like to bring Victor Wanyama back to Celtic this month – but stressed the Spurs midfielder’s wages and the imminent arrival of Ismaila Soro mean it is unlikely to happen.

Wanyama, who has only started one game for his Premier League club this season, has been repeatedly linked with a loan to the Scottish champions in recent months.

Lennon, who signed the powerful Kenyan during his first spell in charge at Parkhead, is keen to add experience to his squad during the January transfer window.

However, he feels the treble treble winners, who are bidding to win a record-equalling ninth consecutive Scottish title in the 2019/20 campaign, will be priced out of a move for the 28-year-old.

The Northern Irishman also believes he will be well covered in midfield when Soro, the 21-year-old Ivorian who is poised to join from Israeli club Bnei Yehuda for £2 million, finally signs.

Asked if Wanyama was a target, Lennon said: "He's in my thoughts. But could we afford him? I doubt it very much.

“The problem with Victor is where do you fit him in with bringing Soro in, if we have Brown, Bitton, McGregor, Ntcham. I don't think that's going to be an option. I wouldn't have thought so.”

He added: "Ideally, you would have a little more experience coming in. We have a couple of plates spinning in terms of players who are not playing on a regular basis who need to get out and play, so that might leave a little bit more room for manoeuvre to bring one or two more in.

    Think hes being coy.

I'd be astonished if he actually felt that way. If he had a chance of getting him...he would.

Cant get my head around why some fans would want to sign a player for big wages who failed a medical in the summer.

Can’t get my head around why Pete would shortchange the Celtic fans just to earn his £1M bonus.

£5M for a year loan apparently, worth it if we make CL next season.

That would be the highest loan fee for a single season in the history of world football no chance is that the amount!

That could be inclusive of wages too eg. £2 million loan fee and cover £60k per week of his salary.

Admittedly that is a lot of money for a guy that's not paid a whole lot of football recently.

Vic on his game would absolutely boss Scottish Football.

Does that include his gold plated treatment table? We would need that as ours are all in use.

He'd need a zimmer with go faster stripes if he were to boss it. He's no where near the same player that left Celtic.

I think considering spending £5m on a season loan for a player who failed his last medical and is so good nobody else wants him is chronic.

But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The only way i'd take him is if it was on a pay as he plays loan, if such a deal exists.

Fraser didn't fail his medical. I would love to see a fit Vic back at Celtic, but he's not fit and if he were we would have no chance of signing him.
