I think that he's finished here, mate. It's a shame, but that's how it looks.

I never stated he was anything special though, we write off our league time and time again when it comes to signing players from other sides.

All I said was he reminds me or is similar to Skippy.

Even more reason to buy him now.

Our record in the Scottish transfer market in recent years is decidedly mixed.

    Armstrong: good
    Mackay-Steven: mediocre
    Allan: poor
    Çiftći: poor
    Christie: excellent
    Bain: mediocre
    Hayes: mediocre
    Hendry: poor
    Morgan: poor
    Mulumbu: poor
    Taylor: -

Supporters are right to be apprehensive. Armstrong and Christie are the only real successes in recent years, and they clearly had high potential. It took Christie a while to establish himself in the team, too.

Half of them should not have been signed in the first place.

Fans are quick to write off players loads on here said it about Christie as well. You forgot the Thumb to that list, I know he was a Wolves player but he showed his qualities on our league.

I agree with what you’re saying, but think you undervalue a couple of the signings (and overrate GMS’ success!).

Armstrong was an excellent signing and an absolutely integral part of the invincibles team. His performance in the Scottish Cup final that season should never be underestimated. Even financially, what we paid for him and sold him for were successful from an business standpoint.

Bain, especially considering what he cost us and the point when he was thrown into the team, has also been a momentous success. Granted, he chose a bad time to have a poor game against Cluj, but he’s now a very dependable back up.

In general I’d only advocate signing players who are absolute standouts in the SPFL. I’d argue Taylor and Turnbull were the only two in that category last season. Personally I’d be disappointed and underwhelmed to see Brophy arrive and be considered the best striker signing we could make in January.

We are one of a large number of teams being linked with 17 year old Nigerian winger Ibrahim Said.

Who’s Ibrahim and what makes you believe him? What’s the winger’s name?

Rumour up on Inverness that Leicester had bid £12 million for Ryan Christie on Tuesday. Apparently comes from someone who knows Charlie Christie. Take from that what you will!

The transfer window isn't open so no bids can be received as of yet, I dont think I he would go if there was a bid

The rat got lucky with Christie last season. If he had got his way in the summer and got McGinn Christie would have been away. Christie's agent gives me the fear though. I worry about another Arnstrong situation

He has a cheek if that's even remotely true.

I doubt we will sell anyone to him.

Bids can be made at anytime, it's the club registration that can only be done during transfer windows.
