Yes I still see my Buzzard at Hamilton service station! Also the one near the bridge at EK on the Newhousemill Road still sits on the telegraph pole.[IMG][IMG]

It sounds daft but my hubby is the main driver when we're going anywhere and he will go "look at the size of the buzzard" or whatever and I'm going where? He's like fgs it was sitting on that post back there or whatever....how could you miss it? :56:He forgets by the time he's told me to look we're half a mile past it :39: I've been accused of being the most unobservant person ever :52: I'm also terrible at remembering peoples faces and he'll say do you know him/her and I'm like hmm don't think so and he says they just said hello :56:You really need to pay attention or folk will think you're ignoring them :52: Maybe this new hobby of mine will stimulate the centres of the brain that handle observation :56:

Aww Jeannie I've the worst memory always have had, so * if you don't notice what hubby does he doesn't notice what you see, plus I can't wait to see your pictures on your new camera, there's a great sense of freedom when I get out on my own for a wee walk :50:

Yeah I love walking too and I'm so looking forward to getting this camera. I'm not very techy minded so I can count on buggerlugs to help me out with that :56:

Driving past a soccer pitch on the way to the Mournes, I noticed scores of these fellas with the long beaks. Had never seen them before and have no idea what they are. Very timid. As soon as the car stopped, they moved farther away so not great picture.

A couple from the blackbirds' bath time during the week. The male must have goretex in his feathers as the water just sits on them in little drops.

The bigger birds with really long bills are Black Tailed Godwits, cool Wading birds. The somewhat smaller ones with long bills are Redshank. The really small one I cannot make out:50:

PS The small one may be a Dublin??

Thanks, Cider. Not knowing what they were was killing me. Cool birds. Couldn't believe my eyes, there were so many of them. Although you can't see them in the picture, there were loads of oystercatchers on the pitch also.
