CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Month for November. Having also won the award for the month of August, the Irishman becomes the first manager to do so twice this season so far.

In league competition, the Scottish champions overcame Motherwell 2-0 and Livingston 4-0 at Paradise last month, with Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and club captain Scott Brown all hitting the mark over both games.

As such, the Scottish champions have gone into the final month of 2019 in pole position in the Premiership – and now embark on Sunday’s League Cup final with a two-point lead at the top.

In European competition, Neil Lennon’s side also overcame Lazio 2-1 in Rome and Rennes 3-1 in Glasgow. The former win marked the first time Celtic had defeated Italian opposition on Italian soil, while the latter ensured the Hoops topped their European group and accrued more than 10 points for the first time in the club's illustrious history.

This is the 12th time Neil Lennon has won the Manager of the Month Award in Scotland’s top-flight at Paradise, having also won the accolade once while in charge of Hibernian.

He knows Celtic FC and Scottish Fitba inside out. He's a perfect match!

I was really impressed with his management of the last Zombie FC match. COMPLETELY outmanoeuvred Gerrard.

NL: “They all trained today. With Odsonne, it’s a day-by-day thing. With the rest of the guys, we more or less have a full complement.”

NL: “Having these guys back adds to the strength and quality we have, but we have ideas up our sleeve for any eventuality. Regardless of what happens, we have other irons in the fire to deal with that.”

NL: “Every final is different. Every game is different. It’s very difficult to predict how derbies will go. We’ve had great experience playing at Hampden in recent years, and hopefully that can give us an advantage.”

NL: “It’s just another game, with a trophy at the end. But we are excited about it. The players handled the occasion and pressure of the semi-final outstandingly well. It’s the first cup final, and there’s a quiet motivation about the players.”

NL: “I think Rangers have improved, but I think what gets overlooked is that we’re improving too. We’re two points clear now, but I don’t think that’s going to have any impact on Sunday. You have to take the game in isolation.”

NL: “We respect our opponents. How we approach the game is crucial, and it’s important that we get on the front foot when we can. I hope we play well, I expect us to, but we can’t predict it.”

    Love him.

So articulate and concise, gives nothing away and doesn't get sucked into the media's game of looking for a headline.

If you are looking for proof of what Lawwell means when he says Neil "knows the city" then that is one aspect of it.

Can't wait for Sunday. Come on!

The form of the team at the end of last season was the reason a lot of people reacted in such a way. Sure we’re all glad how it’s turned out so far.

Hibs was one of those days let it get away from us doesn’t help when you are denied 2 stone wall penalties.

livi we where not at it from the start and played 66 minutes with 10 men after a European game on the Thursday night.

but 3 defeats in 45 games since February isn’t a bad record tbh and 1 of those defeats was a dead rubber against the huns!

Don't beat yourself up about it was ages ago and understandable after the high we were on, Lenny's lost couple games Rodgers would have drawn and he's won couple games Rodgers would have got pumped, nothing to be ashamed of :102:
