On a side note was seriously impressed by the Rennes support, taking 2500 fans even when already knocked out, starting a huddle mexican wave thing and singing all game, fair play to them and their fans deserved that late goal.

As we are group winners do we play a 2nd placed team ? Surely we avoid the CL teams that drop down

    • No, not necessarily.
The top 4 third place CL teams join the 12 EL group winners, and the bottom 4 ranked third place teams join the runners up.

      As it stands, the lower third place teams, which we could draw, are;
      Brugge
      Red star Belgrade
      D. Zagreb
      B. Leverkusen

    Were ACE!
We were up against a poor Rennes team nonetheless but we still done the job. A few changes in the team and we were excellent in Europe AGAIN!. Some of the passing was outstanding in small spaces, especially coming from a Christie foot.

Top of the Group, avoid Champs league drop outs :50:

All good teams but the way we're capable of playing we should not fear anyone.

Wanyama on a 6-month loan in January would be brilliant for Europe.

Ramos admitted on camera doing it on purpose. Can't see Broonie being that stupid.

We've ended up making light work of a tough group. Big credit to the gaffer and also the players, most of whom are now looking totally at home at that level.

Night and day from Fraudgers. Even when we were behind - twice! - to Lazio, the heads didn't go down. So much fight and dig in this squad, and a lot of the credit has to go to Lennon.

With the holiday yesterday, only getting watch match now -- great performances from all the bhoys despite a lineup that initially had me scratching my head a bit. Thrilled for Morgan to have a chance to step up, Mikey bagging a goal after being out a while, and Ntcham looking fantastic, too! HH and let's keep this momentum!

Great result and performance last night, who'd have thought when the draw was made that we would...

have qualified with 2 games to go
that we would top the group
that we would be undefeated with 1 game to go
    beat Lazio home and away!

The team and manager deserve a huge amount of recognition for this.

Spoke to 3 or 4 of them outside the superstore before the game and took some pictures for their group in front of the stadium. They were all sound as * just there to support their team. Rennes as a team were very poor. One of the easiest games in a group stage we will ever have.

See we are seeded for Last 32 which means, unless the teams come to an agreement to switch, Celtic will be away for 1st leg on 20th Feb and at home for 2nd leg on 27th Feb
