The entire team was brilliant. Bolingoli really became a Celtic player today, his level of improvement and commitment were massive. It was also great having big Foster in goal. And I'm glad to say that, dubious as I was that our wonder-captain, Scott Brown, may have not been durable enough to play another massive game so soon after the last, he was absolutely incredible. Always proud to be a Celt, but absolutely bursting after that performance. HH

Gerard’s tactics were a joke really, two new fullbacks for us and started with zero wingers..

Lenny got his tactics spot on, it was a far cry from our purely possession based football under Rodgers, they thought they would press the life out of our midfield and defence but our tactics didn’t allow this.. we did at times revert too much away from keeping the ball and playing good football imo, but it was definitely effective..

Maybe try to strike more of a balance between the two styles of play, because we have much better players than them..

Results are all that matter when you go there tho.. and I’m still buzzing..

    Thank you Celtic...:50: :shamrock:

Either Gerard thought hed use the surprise factor by not playing Morelos or more than likely it was a concession to the fact he’s never been much good against us in the past, never scored in fact and you also have probably the most likely reason to take into consideration that he is more than likely to get sent off or do something bad for the team, in short he was simply not trusted on the biggest stage they have in a season, I wonder if this is the biggest reason that no * will touch him despite his scoring record minus Celtic even though Sevco are clearly desperate for money and even more desperate to punt

They cant be that desperate for money mate, they have seemingly bid 7m on Kent. Judgement day will be upon them before long.

I think his disciplinary record and lack of a brain were definitely in Gerrard's mind, however just look at that first chance he had just after he had come on. Did very well to get away from the defenders and showed great pace then just smashed it wide. One of very few chances they had and he showed zero composure. Pretty much summed him up from the games against us. You would definitely be more worried about Defoe one on one with your keeper, however he is too old now to carve out chances on his own in high profile games so isn't much of a threat either, especially when they have little possession.

the result is everything at the end of the day but after 30 minutes we stopped keeping the ball and invited them onto us the rest of the game, we were superb at stopping them making anything out of it mind you with our back 4 fantastic

but id have preferred if we didnt give the ball away as much
