Have every confidence that Taylor will displace Mbombo as first choice LB. Defensively, he's levels above..

A fair point, however just because they are dredging the bottom of the barrel for signings doesn’t me we should too. Eddy was a quality player when we signed him also.

How is this a bottom of the barrel signing? We have obviously identified him as an ideal target. He's not a particularly cheap option.

Some people just love to moan whenever we make a signing.

Taylor is a solid signing. Outside KT the best left left back in the league for me, plus he has bags of potential!

Solid defensively and will run all day, sheer determination!

For croatia, Barišić has been solid whenever he played. I know we don't do deals with Huns, but I'd rather them have Taylor, and we get Barišić.

Just screams of lazy buying to me. I hope the fella proves me very wrong. Losing Tierney and getting Boli and Greg Taylor wasn’t what i was expecting I guess. I had hoped the bar would have been raised a little higher

Forget about Tierney and take each guy on their merits. Taylor is 21, give the guy a chance.

Don't follow their games, so I can't judge him there. For Croatia, his only issue is injury proneness.

We just need some stability in this position right now. After the dust settles a bit, we can continue evaluating our options.

Even at the end of KT's time here, we were plagued with injury issues keeping him off the pitch. This need has been a long time coming anyway. I think Taylor will bring that stability we need right now. He'll be able to slot right in, is experienced, and is still quite young, which you don't often find all together.

As much as cringer is howling at the moon I don't agree with this either. He's a Kilmarnock player. If he was our ideal target then we could have had him in weeks ago.

Same applies with McGinn mate. The common li k is Lawell. * about something chronic when dealing with scottish clubs. Lots of * about when we were trying to get Stretch and GMS,similar with Turnbull and as I say McGinn.

He will be a good signing for us. Anything is better than Boli. I fear for him at the cesspit tomorrow.

Honestly haven't seen enough to make a proper judgement but it's still an underwhelming signing on the face of it.

£25m banked..feel we could have looked for some more experience.

It's also concerning if this is our contingency plan for KT and it's taken until the 2nd last day of the window to get it near finalised. A guy just down the road.

Not the most glamour signing but dredging the bottom of the barrel is signing a proven wife beater like Flannagan! Tell the huns when you see them laughing at us signing a player they couldn’t afford!
